    I know they have Chelsea this afternoon, but I saw some bloke in gravesend wearing a Palace shirt. It is very rare to see that kind of thing. 

    It is time to investigate what is really going on here
    All an identity crisis, trying to convince themselves they truly own the whole of SE London. As unlikely as it is, if we got promoted to the Premier League that would soon put them back in there place.

    tbh i don't know why a university would sponsor a football team - sort of makes sense as they r next door to us at avery hill but why they would give money to a team in croydon who are already getting loads of money from tv companies. i have no idea 
    More marketing = more students = more money.
    bizzarre really - should be state owned - when i was there i got marked down for something for bad grammar - at the time there were loads of chinese students there who couldn't even speak english, let alone write it - i asked how often they were marked down for their gammar - bit like arguing with the wife though really - the more right you are, the worse it gets - they were paying a lot of money to be there and i wasn't is the bottom line

    crazy that UoG have partnered with CPFC - having been so engrained in both CAFC and CACT work the last few years!
    There's goes my idea about trying to build a Charlton W media team based out of University media students. Probably wouldn't of worked anyway but definitely not a shame to try.

    Here is club from Croydon pretending to be South London whilst massaging their history on a whim. 
    Considering that they preceded Association Football itself by 2000 years it took until now to win a devalued trophy that the big clubs don't give a toss about so that the likes of them have an easier path to win. All those thousand of years of non achievement is quite an achievement in itself!
    Real South London club Charlton Athletic won it when it was THE trophy to win.
    They should have been sponsored by Croydon College or the Sex Shop in Norbury- more their mark.

    Try Ravensbourne, based on the peninsula and more likely to do media studies

    The University of Greenwich is now merging with the University of Kent, though it seems like more of a takeover by Greenwich.

    Kent is the larger of the two by most measures but I don't know how sound they are financially. Possible that Greenwich are more viable financially and are 'rescuing' Kent.

    According to that article, Greenwich have almost twice as many students as Kent.

    Kent are finanically in such a deep hole, it needs Greenwich to bail them out
