New Millwall deal means they can bus their fans in from Kent

Leaving aside yet another attempt to replicate what Charlton did many moons ago......

Over £1m over five years means more than £200k a season which is pretty good value considering we got £180k last year from Andrews.

That they have a long term deal so won't have to scabble around for a new sponsor every year. How long was our U of G deal

They announced a figure even if it rather vague. How much was our deal?

    Wow that looks like a good deal for the coach company. 1 coach per home game to be used and none for away games! Way to go Millwall.
    But seriously, i wonder in the coach company has factored in any damage that will be caused to the vehicles by either Millwall fans or the fans from other teams?

    Which is shows it updating its 2013 ferry crossings, do they intend to bring fans in from France, I do not think the ferry service every got off the ground.
    Perhaps Airman could enlighten us, if it did it is not running as far as i can see.

    They may have paid nothing as the deal is "worth" just over £1m. In other words, the company could provide coaches to the cost of that figure for free

    It's a pretty good deal for Millwall, especially if they get relegated although their might be a clause about that. The point is they have been playing so poorly at home for the past three years you wonder if they can fill the buses...not that we have been playing any better.

    I have to be a bit careful what I say, but I can confirm that Euroferries have been announcing - and then not commencing as promised - a ferry service from Ramsgate for a number of years. We'd be delighted to have them, but it has become a bit of a running joke that they keep saying it is starting and it never does. On that basis, I'd be a bit sceptical about having them as shirt sponsor.

    As for Millwall coaches from Kent and London, they'd struggle to compete with the red competition inside the M25 and I would be doubtful if they will find it viable outside it. From experience of Euroferries in Ramsgate, I wouldn't be confident the coaches would turn up anyway!

    If it transpires that the extra revenue generated by the advertising means they get additional interest and therefore run the service then it's a good deal all round - however I'd be quite surprised if the 5 year deal actually gets beyond 1 or 2 years

    Good deal for Millwall though - if it works

    They have replaced the link to, http://www.euroferriesexpress.co.uk on the home page it states the services will comence in 2014 on the travel update page it states the service will be launched in 2013, sounds a bit like the ferries.
