  • How has rosberg been schooled by Hamilton, and where has Rosberg been constantly cheating? There's home bias, then there's just plain bull...

    Monaco. Without a doubt.
Lewis has had machinical problems and his pit stops not as slick as could be.
German team German driver, Rosberg would naturally feel more at home there than Lewis.
All little things but add up to an advantge.
When all is working fine and all being equal Lewis Hamilton will out qualify and race anyone in F1 at the moment.
  • It made me smile when you heard him chant "Eng-er-land!" over the radio at the end. I thought he conducted himself really well across the weekend. He was pi55ed at the mistake, but he did everything else right, from admitting to it, to making up for it (even if he was a bit moody in the process).

Monaco - dont even try and convince me that he didnt park that. It was widely reported in the evening that pretty much every senior paddock official thought it was on purpose

Canada - Blatantly cut the chicane and gained an advantage when Lewis was hunting him down. Kept him ahead illegally, kept Lewis in the hot air, which led to his DNF.

Australia - Lucked into a win when Lewis had a broken spark plug, which has only just been evened out yesterday

So Nico still needs another retirement to fully even things out. Lewis has won 5 races now to his 3 and still doesnt lead the championship.

As a comparison to his team mate who is in the same car - Lewis has won 71% of the races he has been able to finish (retirements no fault of his own). Rosberg 38%.

    That is schooled - 1000000000%
  • Brilliant atmosphere at Silverstone on Sunday. As for people saying why should we get behind the British driver? You would have stuck out like a sore thumb sitting with a moody expression on your face amongst 100,000 Brits all toasting home sporting success (which we don't get a lot of - maybe that is why we find it hard to accept). In fact, in all my sporting experiences, I find F1 at Silverstone to have some of the most fervent and patriotic support outside of football. Think back to Mansell, Hill and now Lewis. Full on passion in the crowd. I mean - if England were in the WC final v Germany, we wouldn't get loads of people on here debating whether we have to get behind the country of our birth?

Lewis is still mentally fragile which he needs to work on. But that was karma for Rosberg. Constant cheating and good luck all year (take out the car breakdowns and Hamilton has schooled him) - that was the first time his car has missed a beat. If Lewis can keep his head together, he should win the championship. But that is a big IF.

There are a small number on here who would sulk if England reached the World Cup final, because they couldn't say "I told you so" though Damo... :-D
  • Or they'd say we were lucky given the managers sill starting line up/formation/choice of substitutions etv.
That said, theres much morr sulking availible for those of us wjo actually wantef to see Emgland win, even if it was only a match.

Lol. Fair points Ken, but are you typing with your fists? :-)
