I know people will say "its only a friendly", which it is - but that doesn't mean we should be losing like this against a Conference side.
I'm confident that we can right things before the season but its not a good sign that two weeks into pre-season the team doesn't seem very well prepared. And before anyone says it - no, I'm not "wrist slitting" or "writing us off".0 -
If it makes anyone feel better Wham are 2-0 down to Stevenage.6
-
ffs.......................thats my couple of Nathans down the Swaney.
Agent Spanner?0 -
I do not know the West Ham team but they are losing 2-0 to Stevenage, I know they were going to put out a strong team0
-
The Welling game is always deceiving. I remember 2 years or so ago Danny Green scored a screamer.7
-
Anyone know what our last 20yrs pre season results against welling are? I don't remember many good games and results.0
-
And to think there were some on another thread tipping us as dark horses for promotion! I know it's 'only a friendly' but we haven't even scored a goal yet in pre season1

West ham pulled it back against Stevenage. 2-2 there. Can't even look at that for comfort anymore.0

1) Its only a friendly exercise
2) Welling are further ahead in their pre season
3) Team taking time to gel
4) If you combine the two teams there is a strong team in there
5) There will be some good players still to be signed
6) You are not allowed to comment as you are not there (Shootershill2tropics)
7) It is a good run out so that Bob Peeters can see where he needs to strengthen
8) 3 G pitches
Finish off excuse with
9) (Whatever the result or how the team played) the futures bright - investment pitch, ground, new signings etc or
10) Make up claim about criticism made and go on about it at length about how negative people are being6 -
Sorry, my mistake, that should read 3 halves._MrDick said:
