To be fair... Carl Jenkinson leaving for £1m allowed us to have the greatest ever season (In terms of records broken) in the clubs history

He didn't mention that we loaned him out to Eastbourne and signed Simon Francis to play instead of him either.
Seems a decent lad. He was hardly going to turn down going to Arsenal, was he? Not signing a contract with us after CP had given him his chance was never going to go down well with us after what, 10 years of training, though.
Yes, we did get a mill for him, but that's not a lot considering he played for England last year. Young England players usually cost a fortune, though of course you only have to sign for Arsenal to get a free England cap these days (see Jenkinson, Chambers etc)1 -
according to BBC football gossip Newcastle are interested in signing him1

There's speculation about Jenkinson every transfer window. I wish he'd bloody well move somewhere permanently and generate a sell-on fee for us, especially if it gave Robinson a little more wriggle room budget-wise.1

Problem is that no one would be willing to take a punt on a player that hasn't impressed at either Arsenal, West Ham or Birmingham.
