There are rumours that the fee agreed with Tours by Wigan is something like £4.5-5m euro... if that's the case then fair play to RD for sticking to his guns...4

Player was always going to go where the most cash was offered. No real shock and everyone should move on. I really think we've had a lot more irons in the fire than Delort and think we'll sign someone decent. Hopefully.1

Can't believe this deal will fail now. My guess is that Tours are trying to wring a bit more money out of Wigan. Now the knob has appeared on the pitch with Whelan I really don't think I would want him at Charlton now, even if he came begging. Love the way us and Wolves have posted shit loads about him, Wigan has about 4 pages worth of mentions of him and they'll end up signing him, pretty similar to the support he'll get on the pitch if he does sign for them.
Sounds strange but if we were to miss out I would rather it have been Wolves, at least they have a decent fan base.
It is a bit gutting in all honesty, we have just lost out on our number one target, I would say Igor is better than him anyway but it would have been nice to have another potentially quality striker, hopefully Roland and Bob have a plan B.0 -

How strange, so Tours have said that he has not signed for anyone meanwhile Wolves were unaware of Wigan presenting him on the pitch and threw in a big bid which has been rejected by Tours.
I'm getting this off the Wolves site. So basically Wigan have bid 4mill, paraded him on the pitch, Wolves have now bid more and Tours have still rejected them.
Well we know for sure he isn't coming here now, Roland won't be paying that money for someone like Delort, surely we can get better for 5mill.0 -
I wonder if he went to wigan to have a look at the club and, coupled with the language barrier, friendly old chap Whelan invited him on the pitch? Could be embarrassing if he joins us/wolves.3

His wage demand was OK with us, but then Wigan bid it up to silly money.
Wolves have now topped their offer and we are out of the running - even though the player wanted to come to us.
We will sign an alternative striker this weekend.0
