Do the right thing EFL, there's no room for sentiment in football these days, get rid of them!!!
You to complete the season. Don't expunge their results. They won't get int eh play-offs or go down. Make all their results count. Kick them out after the season. Just give 21st in League 1 place a stay of execution. Give 23rd in League 2 a stay of execution. Then see if the National League will accept them anywhere in their pyramid. If not give the best places a stay of execution. If not let the governing leagues deal with it till they are accepted. But At this stage of the season expunging would be very unfair on the rest of the division if sombody misses out on something they have worked so hard for. Integrity of the EFL competition.

EFL and integrity are not 2 words you often hear in the same sentence (unless it’s the EFL have none)
Very true DM. But as they have only two games to go play these two games. Then relegate them if neccessary.
Firstly it was meant to say you HAVE to complete a season.
At this stage of the season it would be grossly unfair to deny another team promotion they would have got automatically to see them lose in the play-offs. Also if a team misses out on the play-offs if they would have otherwise got in. Or if a team goes down because of it. That has reaching impications such as ticket office staff being made redundant as a result.

it aint gonna happen, but even if it did it wont change our season much as we still wouldnt get 2nd and highly unlikely to get 3rd so would end up 4th or 5th and just change if we are home or away 1st leg
Wasps play there, then there was a concert, then the Rugby 7s so it's hardly a surprise the pitch is fucked.
But having said that it's not exactly good planning from Coventry, how long did they know about the Commonwealth games? Why didn't they request the EFL to play their first 3-4 games away from home. That would've given them some extra time to get it repaired.
They've got a cup game at home midweek as well, so that must surely also be in doubt.

Will they be compensating the BC fans for the extra cost in travelling ?? Might not be that much further but its the principle.
Coventry City’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Huddersfield Town on Saturday 20 August 2022 has been postponed by the EFL due to ongoing issues with the playing surface at the Coventry Building Society (CBS) Arena.
The option of reversing the fixture to the John Smith’s Stadium was considered but it was deemed not possible given the timescales involved.
Can anyone link me to an image of the pitch, struggling to find one and interested to see how bad it is. We’ve played on some absolute bogs so it must be pretty horrific to have this many games postponed.

Does this mean they can expel Millwall from the league?

Coventry City's home Championship game against Rotherham on Sunday has been postponed because of an "unsafe" pitch.
The Coventry Building Society Arena has been used for rugby sevens matches during the Commonwealth Games.
The decision to call off the match was taken following an 18:00 BST inspection on Saturday which deemed the surface "unplayable".

I understand that Wasps are in financial difficulties and may have to surrender the lease.
Maybe Coventry will end up with the Stadium after all given their improved status.
