Tell you what's funny....population of San Marino is roughly 32,000, number of empty seats at wembley tonight was roughly 31,000, we'll played England :-/
England home games died many years ago when they done away with terracing and priced out the working class football fans and turned these games into a corporate event.
I used to attend quite a few of these games in the 80's and I always seemed to come out of there buzzing, despite the performance of result. Maybe I'm looking back through rose-tinted specs, but there always seemed a lot more desire from the players, which was partly down to the atmosphere the fans created.
Just another example of how football in this country has sold it's soul.............
Awful boring match to be at. But I need the caps for France 2016.
Sat in the gods with friends from Uni and someone from charlton life.
Spend the whole match talking about charlton rather than watching the game. Was painfully bad to be at. Only cost £15 quid so wasn't that bad cost wise.
I went last night and I couldn't believe how bored I was. The atmosphere was awful and the football wasn't much better and to tip off what was a shit experience they were not serving alcohol in the stadium. According to one of the brain deads at the kiosk it was a "dry" night ordered by uefa. Wankers
Chambers, he's quality. Made one mistake where he accidently kicked the ball out for a goal kick which apparently means he's stealing a living and absolutely terrible.
Give me strength
He has given the ball away a number of times, doesn't look confident and has done very little - just my opinion of course.
I had never heard of him - just checked him out this morning - 29 Premiership games ever and sold to Arsenal for up to £16m
Nice one - he seemed to shat himself everytime the ball came towards him
Not allowed to serve alcohol at Uefa qualifiers Beds.
Perhaps people can understand why I hate home games so much now and why they need to be taken around the Country.
The FA have got what they wanted and set out to achieve 15 years ago. A stadium full of families and corporate types who will buy the merchandise, do mexican waves and generally sit quietly.

This really upsets me. I wish i was born 20 years earlier.
Talk about the Great British Bore Off last night. There is talk about prequalification; however, I am not sure that is the greatest idea. I take it that there is a great deal of revenue to be had for these games and that revenue is extremely useful for these smaller nations to use as they see fit. If we end up shoving these teams into a small corner, standards will drop not improve. I know some people may say sod em but there you go. I am always uneasy when Fifa/Uefa make changes as they are usually thought out carelessly.
I am glad there was no more than 2 mins added time last night. But does anyone know why there is normally very little added time in international fixtures?

I'd guess 10,000 must have bought tickets for the loyalty points, but not actually turned up. The crowd was sparse.
Think it's time to stop bothering with the home games - apart from genuinely competitive fixtures - and just do the aways.
