Just checked what I would consider one of the best films ever 'dead mans shoes' on imdb it has 7.8 and on rotton toms it's a 58% rating. Just shows wtf so called critics know.
Looking at the user reviews on rotten tomatoes it has 91%. Doesn't that agree more with you than IMDB?
Ha, no, I'd give it 4/5. It's an excellent thriller but I don't like some of the ad-libbed stuff in it. I thought meadows relied on a cast that wasn't quite talented enough. Maybe a little harsh I know, cos it's so low budget, but it did bother me.

Again, I was replying to a previous post that mentioned trusting rotten toms critics reviews.... Hence 'wtf do the critics know'. At the end of the day it's movies, not cancer cures... I can deal with watching a poor flick every now and then

Has that film4 vibe though which I love. Cant beat the charm of British production, although it's probably the same thing that leads a show like Utopia to be pulled after 2 series... I think that would have been more of a late bloomer like breaking bad

It's always a 'toss up' between ratings and relevance
I don't really care for most critics opinions. I feel that far too many are just there to throw a curve ball review to stick out.
