A quick update on my situation. In the end I decided I could not go back to work. It was affecting me to much and I could not see the situation changing for the better.

After getting advice from the citizens advice bereau, they advised me to write down the reasons why I have made the decision to leave the company, and to hand it In at the same time as when I hand in my resignation letter.

I did this last week and present in the meeting was my manager, director and a member of HR. Taking one look at the letter, the HR rep decided as I was leaving the company due to to poor treatment and lack of training, it was only fair they release me from my contract and to pay my 6 weeks notice. Obviously I was over the moon with this. They also told me that if ever I wanted a good reference, they would supply me with one - which i am most please about.

After a slow week where I was applying for at least 3 jobs a day, i have now received 3 job interviews all for next week. So things are looking promising.

Apologies again for the long essay, but after you all gave me your advice and opinions I thought it was only fair I let you know what I decided to do. Of course my pride of being out of working has taken a dent, but for the sake of my health it was a decision which I had to make
