Cabin in the Woods is great, not a completely typical horror film but one of the best I've seen.

    It is excellent.

    Insiduous is good.

Just watched Babadook which is pretty unsettling and scary with touches of the shining in it.
Shining is great. Enjoyed Skeleton Key. Original Korean version of Mirrors (a version of it done by Kieffer Sutherland) is good.

I prefer ghost stories rather than just slasher or other gore. The Conjuring sounds good.

Devils backbone (guilermo del toro), is on tonight BBC 2, worth a look.
