  • The pitch has been sorted - bit of a carpet as you will see soon enough.
Fans have gently drifted away over the last seven years after we spent 8/9 seasons in the FAPL. The last couple of seasons have been a struggle.
Once things are firing on all cylinders for a while our gates should edge up again.
Looking forward to three points - thanks @MillwallFan‌ :)

Yeah, you're like 10k down on the premiership years aren't you?

A 10k difference on a team doing well in the championship to one that's struggling in the prem? Do you think there's truth in the claim plenty of your premiership fans were there to watch the opposition? Didn't you once have an advertisement poster with Christian Ronaldo on?

And yeah, I think you're right about the three points. I was there yesterday. We were poor.
  • Millwall Fan, are you STILL here? Do you spend this much time and this many posts on a West Ham forum? Yes your lot will probably beat us again. Yes your scummy fans will be as nasty and intimidating to Charlton fans as always. Yes a lot of Charlton fans will not go because of it. Yes you will probably be gloating on here again. But I have never been on Millwall forum and never will do so. Your club and the image the majority of your fans so adore is a joke. Your ground with the fence spikes, wire, away fans tunnel etc is stuck in the 70s. You lot in the Premiership? It would be a great chance to push your club forwards but more likely it would end up with headlines like your Wigan clash at Wembley. Sad club.
  • Got barred from west Hams kumb site. And our sites a bit dead at the moment. This is a pretty good site with plenty of traffic and there's always plenty of Millwall related posts hence why I come on here. Point taken though.
  • P.s. I've never gloated.
  • P.s. I've never gloated.

    Ok, fair enough.
  • I just remember joe pigott some how running with the ball, so much so that it went off the pitch.
  • @millwallfan - the main reason Charlton fans call Millwall a small club is for a bite. It usually works, and looking at your replies it's worked here as well.

    Titchy tiny little Smallwall ;o).

Your site is a bit dead ATM, typical Millwall fans no one is there, but when we play you in 2 weeks I bet there will be so much traffic on the site it goes into meltdown(at which point you will probably just start fighting each other)

Palace are freaks. Millwall are just a bunch of knuckle draggers

This has got to be the year. There is no way we can be as bad as we were for previous 2 games.

Tbh both games should be the highest attendance for both clubs against each other because it's a derby match.

We are going to score a 3/4/5 against a team soon. Don't see why it can't be against this lot because there awful.

  • The way some people on here pine for Millwall to hate us is a bit embarassing. Hate them all you like, but why give a toss about what they think of us?
  • Millwall fan, how comes palace don't get the bottom tier?
  • Thousands of tickets? Please get your facts straight.

We our clearly big enough for you to spend all your spare time here.

Postpone a game for rain? WTF?

Look at the average away followings this season, didn't notice your teams name above ours?

Last time your mob were in the premiership?

I forgot though, you don't care about Charlton. They say jealously brings out the strangest things in people.

It's a fact you give out thousands of free tickets a season.

The rain, don't you remember last season, your pitch was so piss poor whenever there was a bit of rain you had to postpone. Hardly the sign of a big club.

Yes, my mistake, on average so far this season you get a couple of hundred more away than us. But, baring in mind you're the top end of the table and we've been struggling, and you get an extra few thousand on average at home that's a bit shit isn't it.

And you're right, we haven't been in the top flight for a while. If we'd spent as much there as you lot have in recent history then I'm sure our home crowds would be nearer the size of yours.

My point is, yeah, you're bigger than us, but not massively. You're hardly in the position to call other clubs small. I mean, you're hardly in Man U or arsenals league, or even the likes of west ham. Not even close. Makes you sound a bit delusional criticising a club for being small.

Oh, and I'll say it again, for the hard of thinking. I never said we didn't care about Charlton.
Wow, someone is having a nibble.

Right, thousands of tickets a season? How do you know that?

Have a look at your average following over the years, it's always been far less than ours. You have not played us at the Den so we have nothing to compare it to.

I'm quite perplexed about the amount of time your spending on this website. I never understand fans of other teams coming on this forum trying to put the club down but yet will show so much interest in a Charlton Forum.
  • If he thinks our better attendances are down to being in a better league position then I'd like to explain how our average attendance was higher in their league one promotion season?
  • This still makes me laugh.
  • On a separate note, do you not think it's a bit ironic a Charlton fan calling Millwall 'small'

I mean even when you went all Those games unbeaten you was still only getting 15k at home. Hardly makes you a big club. And that's with giving away thousands of tickets to locals, shipping yokels in from the sticks with subsidised travel and selling a big chunk of season tickets for £150. You're at the top end of the table but your away support is almost on par with ours. And every time there was a drop of rain last season you had to postpone the game. But you call us small??
Personally, I couldn't give a monkeys about crowd/club sizes. If anything I respect the people who support the smaller clubs a lot more than those who choose a so called bigger club but that's just me.

I'd have to pull you up on that one. I would hardly say we are giving 1000s of tickets away to locals. Shipping in 'yokels' as you call them from the sticks was actually clever on the part of the club to try and increase revenue years ago. Look at where we are based. Easy access to anyone living in Kent who wanted to see (at the time) Premiership football. We can't really market our club in London when you look at the likes of Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham. These are the clubs that get the most fans in London, built on current and past success.

If we went the route of West Ham say, and advertised our games in the Evening Standard, it would be a waste of money.

Kent and some of Sussex was perfect. What did they have, Gillingham? We might as well make an approach into that area, because it was untapped, free of competition and accessible for people to get there. I am sure you wish Millwall could increase their fan base? Of course a number of these are no longer with us, but some do remain and are an important part of our fans. Perhaps Millwall should try marketing to Kent, Essex, East Sussex, see how you get on. The heartland of Bermondsey doesn't strike me as an area that will be rich with potential football fans anymore.

We're not a big club, we haven't been for a number of years. But I think if you evaluate everything we've achieved in the last 20 years compared to what Millwall have, there's not much competition there. However, we're both at the same level now.

It continues to be that the only sodding thing we cannot say is that we have had the better of the matches against you, as our record is so poor. I am confident we will show you something a bit different in 2 weeks.

Small always make me laugh trying to deny how much this fixture means to them. Your attendances VS us tell me everything I need to know about how much you "don't care" about Charlton.

I explained in a previous post about the attendances.
answer me one question. Why would we lie? We don't try to pretend west ham don't mean anything to is. Why would we?
Anyway, didn't say you don't mean anything to us, just no where near as much as west ham and to a lot, palace too. And some, Leeds.
And no where near as much hatred for you as you have for us. Not even close.

It's strange, the younger generation of Charlton fans hate palace a lot more than you lot. I'm not too sure there is any genuine hatred between Charlton and millWall personally. Of course during the game we'll want to smash eachother and some fans from both teams will want to do the same before and after the game, but IMO younger fans hate palace all year round

  • On another note, I can't get my head round the idea that our fans don't turn up to Millwall AT HOME because they're either intimidated, repulsed by their fans or whatever the reasoning. What do they really think is going to happen during the game? Are millwall fans going to dig a tunnel from the Jimmy Seed to the west upper and attack us all like an army of moles? You're literally just turning up and watching the game, supporting the team as you always do. There is literally no way anything is going to happen during the game, and before or after the game you won't get touched on your 2 minute walk from the station or 15 minute walk from the car. Embarassing in my opinion

I'd give that a like but you earlier referred to them as 'Wall'. Eurgh.

Changing your post, some people would do anything for a like lol :-)
  • Quite embarrassing how some of you chaps get into a slagging match about who's bigger, crowd sizes etc. We support Charlton because they're our team. I wouldn't care if there were 100 people at our next match id still support them. Who gives a shit about anyone else?
  • they have almost sold out all ready I heard they sold just over 2300 on the first day

they don't care about us, my arse
  • Maybe I am too young at 30 but I personally don't have much of a problem with Millwall. They have some idiot fans but which club doesn't? even we had the ones singing about Kevin Lisbie in a tree and that other rubbish.
Most Millwall fans I met at school seemed okay, were happy enough to be a smaller club and wouldn't want to attract more fans anyway. At least Millwall aren't trying to be something they aren't, unlike our stripey nigel friends down the road and their south london is ours bollocks.
I'll be there on the day and hoping we finally get 3 points against them but wont be bringing any hatred with me.
  • @MillwallFan‌ Jeez, are you still here????!!!

Have you honestly, nothing better to do? Didn't any of your thug SMALL mates invite you round for cider over Benefit Street? Reduces you to come on here and spout crap?!

Have you spent an equal amount of time on West Ham and Leeds threads??? You must have a lot of time on your hands to open up and post on another teams's forum. Just because we mention SMALL. I'm sure Charlton have been mentioned on others forums but that doesn't compel me to join up and post!!!

    And @BansteadAddick is right!!

Furthermore, you got barred from West Ham.....?! What kind of knuckle head admits that aloud and is proud of that?! Embarrassing!

    Jesus wept! Go home @MillwallFan‌

Who said we don't care? Just not our cup final that's all.

Its more local for me than The Den.

They've got a thread on their forum where everyone is crying because the millwall ticket office has failed and they can't get Charlton tickets.
