    Face it they're all oafs and the reason I only watch footy on telly with the sound off. If at some point a 'crowd noise only' feature becomes available I for one will be a happy bunny.

    I heard his resignation was deliberately timed so that he could apply for the manager's job at the Club his Dad used to play for.

    Unfortunately, Pardew's just taken that position.

    I know I am probably a minority of one but I am struggling to understand the hatred and bile towards him, is he really that much worse than other co-commentators or pundits?
    He grew up in Bexleyheath and carved out a very successful career for himself both as a player and then in media, shouldn't we be celebrating local peoples' successes rather than slagging them off like this?
