A good move in my opinion. I'm glad RD acted quickly. It shows intent.
Intent for what?
I've always been a pro RD man and think so far hes in credit on the way our clubs gone, but Peeters should have been backed with getting a stronger squad assembled and given till the end of the season. RD wanted BP to start with, he should have stuck by him when the going got tough.
100% agree with that . To give a man you chose yourself only 6 months makes yourself look like an idiot . It's all well and good having a lovely training ground and nice pitch but what's the point if the players on it are two bob.
Heard today that bob was upsetting a lot of people from very early on, it was just his results that were keeping him going. When they dried up... He had nothing to hide behind.
We are fast becoming a joke club. I think Roland's a prick and I stand by that. Yeah sure, we might have a nice range of pies now and astroturf around the side of the pitch but I couldn't give a toss about that.
I don't like his network, I don't like his model and I don't like his knee-jerk decision making. Those of you pleased with the sacking must be mad - by the time a new chump is appointed we'll have had four managers in ten months.
Third manager in a row doing a decent job with squads they'd been given or stuck with due to lack of resources that weren't really up to it. Powell, Riga and Peeters weren't the problem.
On another note regarding luzon. How many people thought riga would be up to the job? A lot of people here might not agree with the sacking of Powell but I am sure all would agree Riga far exceeded our expectations...
Was an early fan of Peeters and he seemed to achieve a lot in the first 10 game so so. Think the reason for the decline was the initial loss of a few keys players and as we started losing/drawing more then Peeters was looking for excuses and I think his man-management and personal style meant he started placing the blame on the players in a 'personal' way. The dutch/flemish can be too direct sometimes. Look at when he publicly blamed TBH for being out of position. I wouldn't be surprised if he criticised many of the players in a way that might be considered bullying in other businesses and in a sense lost the confidence of the players. Wilson is probably a good example - terrible game yesterday - he hasn't suddenly 'gone bad' - but if Bob has overly criticised him and left if 'down' then he will be naturally worried and off his game. These guys are only human after all!
So many mixed feelings. Shame for Bob, but there's so much stuff that he got wrong. He has apparently alienated the players, there's no tactical nous on display, his press conferences became more and more desperate and the results have been awful. Even so you like to see a manager given time and Bob's only had 6 months of football. I'm not at all surprised that Roland has pulled the trigger really. The worst part is that for all it's sad to see any manager sacked, you always get that little tingle of excitement wondering about who the new man will be. Not this time; I fear it'll be one of Roland's men or a bloke from abroad we haven't heard of. That or Dowie.
Vg Luzon has zero experience and zero.success in football, no career, no clubs where he achieves anything and has fallen out with RD, I'd say it makes him a shoe in for the role
I have been considering for a while about RD and his plans. This sacking has made up my mind - no season ticket(s) in the future. I ain't giving any more money to the network.
If he'd lost the players - as was the rumour - then this is a logical decision. Performances were poor and there are a number of players showing they are not interested.
Disagree with people saying we are a shambles, disagree with hatred of Roland - we are still in a better position than a year ago. Let's see who, if anyone, we have lined up. Hope it's not Luzon as I've not heard a lot of positives to be honest.

TEN MONTHS.
I despair.
Appointing him would be an absolute farce and a joke!
Wasn't his biggest fan, nor did I want him to be sacked, I don't want us to be THAT club.
Those in charge need to pick someone they think can get us challenging for promotion and BACK him with players and time.
Unfortunately I don't have any faith in them picking the right person this time round.
Strongly considering applying, with a tweaked CV saying I've managed Standard Liege before!
