Dmitrovic - 7 One truly outstanding save in the 2nd half. In the words of the late Bill McLaren, "siege gun boot" of a left peg. Yes, he may overhit some of them, but you know the ball will be out of the danger area! Something about him, very dominant for so young a keeper. I was impressed.
Solly - 6.5 Showed some skill in the 1st half, but struggled a little in the 2nd half. Not a captain, and needs to have the armband taken from him.
Wiggins - 4.5 Clearly Rotherham's best player in the 1st half. Improved a little in the 2nd half, but still far too many mistakes, including out of position too often.
Bikey - 6 A few " Beast" moments, and the usual mad five minutes. Better than some of his recent performances.
Ben Haim - 6.5 Another solid performance. His passing not as good as usual, but his usual reliable self defensively.
Gudmundsson - 7 Nearly scored a worldy in the 1st half. Clearly, our most creative player. Should show more confidence in his ability and shoot more. Most of our good play revolved around him.
Buyens - 5.5 I hoped that the arrival of Veljkovic would mean he would play farther up the pitch. A very good short passer of ball, he needs to be farther up the pitch, where this would be of better use.
Veljkovic - 6.5 I quite liked what I saw. Protected the centre backs very well. When he passes the ball, he immediately is on the move. Wants the ball, and communicates well. With him and Cousins, we actually win some headers in midfield, in a position to pressure the opposition defence.
Cousins - 7.5 MOTM. Non stop performance by Jordan. Deserved his goal for his non stop running. Won headers, showed drive and determination. Cracking taken goal too.
Harriott - 5.5 Not everything he tried came off, but at least he tried. Moments of great skill and quick thinking, followed by moments of poor ball control and bad decision making. Worked hard at closing down, and being a general nuisance.
Vetokele - 6 I thought he looked a little more lively than in recent weeks. Maybe just a hint he has turned the corner. He really needs a goal.
Watt - 5.5 Has great ball control, and decent strength. OK, not match fit, but time to give him a start, and play him for 60 minutes. I thought he was unlucky not to get a penalty.

The two main problems we have (and have had for some time) are the lack of a creative midfielder and someone up front the ball is going to stick to. Get these two things sorted and it will be amazing how much better we look.
I liked the Spurs lad but Buyens didn't complement him. We needed Buyens to be pushing on trying to find pockets of space to link the play but his naturally languid style didn't allow him to do this. He only seems comfortable when he has bags of room to play with and Rotherham were not going to allow that. Pending an alternative we'd be better off playing Jackson in that role.
Vetokele is a good player lacking a bit of sharpness and, more importantly, confidence. He needs a rest. I'm really hoping that we get a quality Chris Martin type tomorrow to play alongside Watt. Trouble is it's hope more than anticipation.
Lay off Lepoint. It was a clearly anxious 15 mins and it will only make him more anxious getting way too early judgement on here.

Play him as a forward.................

Harriott - 5 one good cross from the left in the 2nd half. Not much else. Vetokele - 6 can well believe he is still injured, which makes Watt on the bench even more baffling. Rest him, get him right and then back in with Watt.

Luzon - 6 spent the game telling players to keep a high line and then we sit 8/9 in the box inviting the pressure on for the inevitable equaliser.

Watt 7 - put in a shift again when he came on, needs to be starting next week, can't see why he's not.

Solly - 7: another solid and fully committed performance
Wiggins - 5: a dreadful first half; improved in the second and saved our bacon with his headed clearance
Bikey - 5: beginning to look a bit flakey (maybe time to give young Joe a run out in that position ?)
Ben Haim - 6.5: not up to his usual standard but still pretty good
Gudmundsson - 6.5: flits in and out of the game but he is our only meaningful creative player at present
Buyens - 5: mediocre and wasn't exactly blowing a gasket in terms of effort, was he ? On his way back to Belgium ?
Veljkovic - 5.5: I appreciate that he's the holding player but he is too negative for me. Only three or four passes actually went forward and most of them were misplaced. The combination with Buyens doesn't work, as it gives the opposition time to get everyone back and into position (not that this is Veljkovic's fault)
Cousins - 7: miscontrolled the ball on occasions but put in his usual athletic and committed shift. There's no sulking from this fine young professional - I wish the same could be said for some of his senior teammates
Harriott - 4: tried hard but not nothing really went right for him
Vetokele - 3: the worst I've seen him play. The ball was bouncing off him repeatedly and he looked thoroughly dispirited. It looks like his achilles problem and a loss of confidence have completely ground him down. He's been out of sorts for the last couple of months, although I also wonder how (if at all) Peeters' departure has affected him
Watt - 6: one nice turn to create a chance for himself
