Gotta be a defo if he scores once every 20mins he plays.
Great debut for him tonight, and I have to eat humble pie for calling him a shit Blackpool reject.

Well done Chris Eagle..........s if your going to make your debut for a side, being 2 up late in the 2nd half with the oppos downcast, most players would take that.
we have good options up front now.

Can it start to be fun down ?
  • I think we've quietly signed some potential blinders - Watt, Eagles, Johnson - the midfield is looking much healthier than it has for a couple of seasons.

If I saw a goal from Chris Eagles,
If I had a striker called Watt,
I would fly over Selhurst tomorrow
And sh*t of the @*!!** whole lot

If he was proper Charlton he'd change his name by deed poll from Eagles to Robins.

Only on CL would someone think it was meant seriously.

I felt he looked alert, lively and committed , a few nice touches and slotted the goal home confidently.

  • Didn't someone say Bikey's Mrs had nicked Scarfy?

Debut goal, cracking start from Eagles let's hope he can carry on.

Scoring on his debut is about the best thing that could have happened. Endears him to the fans which in turn makes him feel loved

Don't want to speak for any wives or the lovely ladies of CL.(crawler soapbox)
Compared to Nicky Bailey, they may agree with you on that second line ?

  • Well what do we make of Chris. Done enough to earn the offer of a new contract ? IMHO he's exactly the sort of player we need to secure. Very experienced and in an attacking team very effective. An upgrade on Callum and along with JBG will score goals from midfield.

    It's a yes from me.
  • Yes from me. If we have designs of top 6 then he is a great sub to change a game. If we are happy mid to lower table he is a competent starter.

Yes, keep him, he's done enough to prove himself
  • I would rather we signed Bulot, if it was one or the other.
