Well, that didn't last long, did it? Already we're in decline, sliding back down to 13th and it's still half an hour before kick-off. Where are we going wrong?

@stonemuse I can't find anything of note. Can you elaborate?
Unfortunately can't post the pic, basically states as below:
Blagged a ticket in directors box and wanted to share a few things:
1. Katrien gets proper into the game, sings along with a few of the songs and really celebrates when we score. Great to see.
2. Chris Powell is a glorious man, came over to say goodbye to everyone of the charlton contingent when he left in 80'ish minute.
3. Lee Clark Blackpool manager thinks Guy Luzon is mental. Spent more time watching Guy rather than the football and describes him as 'a reet pot noodle, this lad'.
Thanks guys for your concern, my son and also the other driver are ok, the airbag went off on the other guys car, considering the damage that was done to both cars I'm surprised and thankful neither were seriously injured, it's every parents worst nightmare when you get that call.

Good news, whatever age your children are they are always children to you.

Including KM?
That is what it implies ...wouldn't surprise me at all

I would hope so, it does not strike me that he would snub anyone, albeit he may not be effusive.
Just about to get the coach back, good win that apart from the shaky first 15. Wigan looked truly terrible but we are a decent counterattacking side that has a lot of pace and the defence was willing to put their bodies on the line.
Just back from our travels & couldn't have wished for a better trip north.
Met up with fellow Addicks in the Mercure for a pre match drink and then following Gary (our self appointed leader who knows Wigan SO well) we set off to find an eatery that he recommended....Several miles later( well it seemed that far) we arrived at said venue to find it had closed 5 months ago ! So, on to Plan B...
which involved 2 locals taking over the Head Scout role ( Gary was benched after a unanimous show of hands) Another mile or so later and we arrived at a pub/restaurant and were received most hospitably by the patron- although he did point out the Wigan scarf on the wall.
Time was moving on when we received our meals & the onlookers were amazed at how rapidly 6 dinners were consumed & 6 drinks quaffed before we rushed out through the door for the speed walk on to the JJB. Ralphie & Rosemary were "dropped" and nearly lapped but they manfully/womanfully kept their focus and managed to keep the rest of the group in their sights.
We made it with 10 minutes to spare, heartburn ( that chilli, Gary!) & very rosy cheeks before settling down to enjoy the match..
And enjoy it we did ! A second great performance and SIX goals in 6 days ! Igor back to his best, TWWW providing the support & nearly scoring himself, Freddie B continuing his impressive "rebirth" in a red/white shirt, young Jordan showing us why he'll be a firm contender for POTY ( and what a late challenge !!!), an encouraging cameo from our own Eagle, Chris Sollyd at the back as usual ....the list goes on with everyone playing their part. Truly a TEAM performance and one that sent the 500 home ( or to the pub) very happy.
For 100+ minutes last night, we DEFINITELY had our Charlton back.
Whatever happens behind the scenes, whatever fans feel about RD/Katrien/RM and even Guy Luzon, something is working on the pitch and long may it last. Whether our new manager & his players are putting the finishing touches to the work in progress left by Big Bob, whether this recent turn around is attributable to Guy's methodology, whether the incoming players have been the final bits of the jigsaw or whether it's a combination of all 3, I don't know or care. In the end it's a results game as we're all aware and how sweet it is when we come out on top, and more so when it so well deserved. No luck needed in those last 2 performances, that's for sure. And finally, to see our lads so pumped up at the final whistle and hugging each other in absolute joy( and some relief!) is the icing on the cake. Well done to all concerned and to the faithful who were fortunate enough to be there.
And so, caring not about the downpour ( I had MY brolly!) we trudged back into town in search of a hostelry which was not a difficult task and more drinks were consumed amidst much happy Addickted chatter. Alas, on the stroke of midnight, I turned back into a pumpkin & this great day had ended for me.
Great win against a Wigan side that started brightly then deflated like a punctured ball after we scored.
Thank the Lord that Henderson is back. Wigan had us under pressure from the start and only frantic blocking, two very good Henderson saves and Fortuné missing a sitter kept us in it. I will go so far as to say that had Wigan scored first, they might well have won. By the end however we were in control, had found a good rhythm and Wigan's bottle had sunk without trace.
Three super goals on the break, Bulot and Vetokele are like two new players for us, Fox much improved, Johnson (what a huge difference he has made) and Ben Haim composed and sure in central defence, Solly back to his best .. G'sson playing deeper and excelling in a more of an all round midfield role, Buyens and Cousins steady in the centre despite quite a few misplaced passes and Watt and Vetokele showing signs that they are forming a genuinely exciting striking partnership .. and The Eagle !! .. a ten minute cameo worthy of an Oscar .. he speeded up the midfield passing, found space and was elusive and classy .. keep it up Chris and we could yet get in the play offs. ((:>) M Luzon now has selection problems of the good sort.
A good night for all Addicks .. pity about the soaking on the long walk back to the hotel .. But the win made the rain run off like from a duck's back
Fantastic performance Hendo and Johnson immense. Special mention to Fox, up against a good winger and under the cosh, second half performance top drawer. Well pissed by the end of the night, up in Warrington for the weekend, just about to go out for more beers.
Both Igor and Watt are both very direct players and do play well with each other. I think Igor has suffered a bit in recent times as defences have realised that if they keep him quiet, they keep us quiet. Having Watt running at them means they can't focus on keeping Igor quiet in the same way and the freedom this brings him as helped him find his form and look the player we know he is. A real bonus has been Bulot's form and with the quality we all know JBG has, from seemingly nowhere we seem to have a potent attack. Football is a strange game as a couple of week ago I think we had one of the weakest attacks and now it feels like one of the strongest. It has quickly changed to a positive, but could also change negative with a injury or two though.

Middlesbrough: 27 goal attempts + 18 corners = 0 goals.
at least being 13th, we are top of the bottom
instead of 12th, being bottom of the top

Good support.

But what a day to remember !!!
Onwards & upwards !
At my advanced age, I don't get out too much (?) so make the most of it when I do.
8 goals in 3 games.
It seems a long time since we've been scoring for fun.
