    If they don't go in for Allardyce then they would be absolutely mental. The timing couldn't be better for them.

    Then again, if money is an issue then they might struggle to land him considering how ridiculously well he was being paid at West Ham.
  • Congratulations to Watford. Now they need to do a Burnley and be sensible to build for the future but there is more chance of Sepp Blatter resigning over a point of principle!

    continental owners tend to like continental managers .. no way will Big Ally even come close to getting the Hornet job

    and would he really want to be told who to sign as such as we have a Director of football type system - plus the "family" arrangement!

    I half suspect that is why he wasn't that fussed about leaving West Ham (plus a nice pay-off!)

  • How do you get a pay off when your contract has expired?
  • This move could turn out to be another Southampton / Pochettino type managerial appointment OR it could be like a Egil Olsen / Wimbledon type appointment
