colin's right here, add in the missing players today and that a good core of 17/18, 3 or 4 quality additions and we'll be fine

Agreed, the key to us having a good season is adding 3 or 4 more quality players and keeping the core of the squad injury free. We need a settled team/ squad

well, if the 2nd half today is anything to go by we are in deep s**t. With JJ & Moussa still not fit from last season so cant count on them in 4 weeks time and with Bikey obviously going then if we don't sign Bulot we have a very thin squad. If we then lose Wiggins & JBG then we have no hope - I cant see us signing the 8 or 9 players we need during the next month.

Bulot posted on instagram about on his way to a new era :-( bye bye bulot

At least that wraps this total mess up, I liked Bulot but if it means we actually work on other targets ( Seeing as we seem incapable of chasing more than 1 at a time ) then it's good news.

I'm still a bit peed off with the Bulot situation. Feels like total mismanagement of the situation by the club has led to this point.

Disagree ... Thought we looked pretty decent and if add the missing players to the 11 we got a decent squad of 18 ....and with the 3/4 permanent signings and two loans it will look very competative

Bless you Colin. You are a special kind of person.

Not the club fault that SL wanted 2 mill more after a deal had been struck ..
A deal didn't need to be struck when Roland owned both clubs.

...and another 4 and we might be ok.
  • I think the bare minimum needs to be two centre backs, cover at right back, a centre mid, a left mid and a striker.

I think we still need at least 2 more CBs, a cover RB and a LB if Wiggins leaves. A playmaker a winger seeing as Bulot is leaving and another striker.

If we compare "major" outs with ins...

TAL BEN HAIM ...replaced by Patrick Bauer
    JOE GOMEZ
SIMON CHURCH ...replaced by Simon Makienok
    CHRIS EAGLES
    ROGER JOHNSON
    LAWRIE WILSON
YONI BUYENS ...replaced by El-Hadji Ba
    FREDERIC BULOT

So we need two centre backs (one which can cover right back), two wingers (one on each side) and a striker to have the same sort of depth as we did back in May?

That's before any other outgoings. Bikey and Harriott spring to mind as possibles...

Am I the only one who thinks we dont need a forward?
Watt, Igor, Makeniok and Grant? Grant looked very sharp today and in good shape, I think he could step up.

I can see us signing 8 or 9 players in the next month, it's the quality I'm worried about....................

Agreed BR7 ... there comes a time when you have to give youth a chance or what's the point of wasting 12 mill in approving the academy
Tarriq Dennis and Grant to me are first team players

    Sorry, what cost 12 million??

The re building of the training ground and Acadamy to get us back to level 1
    Which doesn't yet exist.

Piggott scored a hat trick a couple of years ago and looked superb. I'm not saying KAG can't step up. But we shouldn't use a pre season friendly to judge the player either way, especially the first friendly of the year!

He's not good enough. Very poor at the end of last season.

    Or Ben Haim
He was the one we should have kept. And Michael Morrison.
