Thought he was unlucky to be dropped in first place.
He got absolutely caned for his batting and footwork at Lords by Atherton and Nass a couple of years ago and was branded not up to test level.
I've said it before and I doubt im the first person to sat it but international test cricket is 80% mental toughness. Lyth plainly has ability but he looks overwhelmed I'm sure he holds his breath whilst at the crease too. I'd give him another test but who is waiting in line to take his place? Hales isn't the answer to the opener headache

A word on Jimmy - Outstanding. What a bowler.
19-1
Chased another wide one. What a dick. Get rid.
Mitchell Johnson, his fielding is shite.
Great atmosphere
64-1
We're going Friday. Looking forward to it.
I've always thought he should bat at 3
Bell hits 3 consecutive 4's.
57 run partnership off 54 balls.
He is like a rabbit in headlights at the moment. A walking wicket.
Needs to be taken out of the firing line. I'd rather Hales went in and had a slog.
76-2
First time I've seen someone take a catch with their eyes closed and not having a scooby.
Cook very unlucky, caught at short leg.
Dont think he is test quality - but bringing in an inexperienced opener in for the next test could be asking for trouble

50 for Ian Bell
And the rain falls down on a hum drum town.
If they are not back on by 7pm, it will be close of play.
I reckon they'll all make sure, they don't get back on.
