Odds for an Aussie win now down to 5s and 6s. Was at 20/1 an hour ago - was going to jump straight on that (and by the looks of things, lots have).

Clearly very unlikely to happen but IF we did lose after all the ribbing we gave yesterday, it would surely go down as one of the most embarrassing moments in English sporting history.

    Impossible though.

    Must be....

What are the odds now ?

Can't believe any of you thought we could lose this game. The Aussies can only play one way, ignore the score and keep bowling in the right areas and they will get themselves out.

Cheers. Still think Clarke has one last hurrah in him though.

    You can thank me later.

At 100-0 I decided to take the princely 6-1 on an Australian win offered by Bet 365 knowing that it would almost certainly be the kiss of death for them.

My reverse psychology appears to have worked!

Nothing to do with Broad, Stokes or any of them!

In all seriousness I do actually like Clarke, for a convict he seems to be a decent bloke, want an innings victory but wouldn't mind him getting some runs.

So guess the question is will it end tonight?

Will we have to bat again or are we looking at an innings victory?

    What do we all think?

Think they'll make us wait until tomorrow, but we won't have to bat again.

What about Nevil, Johnson, Starc, Hazlewood & Lyon please ?

As long as we can finish them off by 11.45 tomorrow, when I set off for the pub, I'll be happy.

Nevil should have gone, but Finn no balled. so that's twice today.

4 wickets lost so far. 2 drops & 2 no balls. Shoddy stuff after yesterdays superb performance.

@MickPCollins: I just want them to survive until tomorrow, so I can watch the Ashes won while in a pub, with some mates. #patanaussieontheheadtweet

What about their top scorer in the first innings? Extras, surely he can't repeat that.

Catastrophic Spelling Error Sees Australian Croquet Team Take To Field In 4th Test

By The Shovel on August 7, 2015

A terrible mix up has meant Australia’s national croquet team were forced to face up against England in Nottingham last night, instead of the cricket team.

The mistake was made when the croquet team accidently boarded the wrong bus in the morning. “We misspelt the sign on the front of the bus,” a spokesperson said.

It was tough going for the players, who were not prepared for the ball to be thrown at them at such pace. “I had my mallet out ready to hit the ball through the hoop, but then there was a guy running at me very quickly. I missed the hoop,” croquet player Michael Clarke said.

Another player, David Warner, said he was also confused about proceedings. I walked out onto the pitch and then moments later I was asked to leave. Maybe I did a double tap without realising it? I’m really not sure”.

Luckily for the croquet team the ordeal was over in about an hour.

Reports about the cricket team’s performance playing croquet are yet to be provided.
