Great result. Well done England! Any doubts and I'd rest Anderson for the last test.

Anderson wont play in last Test, they wont risk it with his injury, especially on a dead rubber - they'll retain the players who played here.
  • I liked Michael Clarke ' s interview there. I know he gets some stick on here but Michael Clarke comes across as a decent guy to me

He's a strange convict captain as he is, as you say, an easy man to like. It helps that we've got a good record against him

    Ponting on the other hand.....

Has been doing a great job of analysis

    KP Who?
Wonder what he's tweeting about now?

How'd we have won the ashes inside 2 tests with him in the side, or won this test by 2 innings.

Bloke's an expert at making himself look a fool. He won't say anything he never does when we've played well, only tweets when we've lost. His tweets after lords were particularly I'll conceived.

That's because he is an arse. He's renowned for his disruptive influence and has to be tolerated within a team unit

Apart from this one you mean? Or the other 5-6 Tweets he's sent this AM congratulating the team?

We all know he can be an arse, but he's been pretty gracious this AM.

  • It's a great result and highlights how disrupted and incoherent the team were with over inflated egos that include kp, but the biggest Negative was swann who ran home like a cowardly bstd last time our

    This.
If anyone was right up their own jacksie, Swann was one of the worst.

Ian Bell now been part of 5 Ashes winning teams.
    Wow!
They have all contributed hugely to the win, with a clear team spirit and a great new coach.

Reckon we could well give them a beating in the ODI and 20/20 games too.
  • As much as I love seeing England beat the Aussies,I feel for Michael Clarke who looked a lost soul and was also badly let down by his team.
Very gutsy to face the questions straight after the game today and to be honest with his answers.Great respect for him.
Good luck Michael for the future.
On to The Oval---usually a batter's paradise.Hope to see a great finale and a 4-1 series win for the Three Lions.
If the younger players fulfill their potential then we have a great team on our hands. South Africa's team is ageing and we should be the team on the upswing.

Nah, dont get that. If the shoe was on the other foot , then no Aussie would have those soft opinions that you have. Goodbye Clarke, you were a poor captain, you lost, goodbye - bring on the next loser.
There's nothing better than beating an Aussie, whether it be cricket,football,rugby,tiddly-winks - and there's nothing better than rubbing their noses in it - coz everyone knows that they are 1) the worst losers and 2) the absolute worst winners too.

I am in a hotel bedroom in Taunton having been at Seb's Kent matches and only been able to follow the goings on from a distance. Fantastic result and series victory and will take great pleasure viewing the highlights when we get back tomorrow night.

I absolutely hear you, I 100% do but that's why I said what I did earlier. He seems..... ok for an aussie captain. And he also visibly seemed broken, when Ponting did the same interviews both times he lost over here you could see he was seething.

And the punchy little shit whitewashed us (I know Clarke did too)

I'm with you though. Keep our feet on their throat. Smith will be their next arsehole captain and I look forward to hating and beating that pug faced streak of shit

Best mate is an Aussie. Would love to visit that country some day. Lot of great things there allegedly.

But, as mentioned they are completely ungracious, single minded and downright ungrateful to a fault when it comes to sport. The polar opposite of us in fact. I reckon too much sunshine has caused genetic damage.

Fucking love stuffing them at ANYTHING.

Well done lads. Now for the rugby...

I think we all have to acknowledge the impact that the appointment of Andrew Strauss as ECB Director of Cricket has had on Team England.
  • Don't be fooled by Clarke. Like most of his predecessors he's also a wan*er, but comes across a bit better than the likes of Ponting, Waugh etc. Aussie now need to get rid if their disruptive influences e.g. Warner and Haddin, and start to rebuild, plus make sure Warne has no say in setting things up. They will rebound.......always have done

Funny how things change, two years ago, even though Aussie lost over here, Darren Lehman was seen as the answer. Can't see him around much longer but can foresee a call for Steve Waugh to be the next coach.
