Wigan Bid For Callum Harriott

The jury is still out with Bergdich give the lad a chance, question i would ask though is would he or will get the same amount chances Harriot has had with us to perform consistently at championship level? My answer to that would be a resounding NO.cafcnick1992 said:Thought Callum did equally as much as Bergdich.

Because people are c*nts.cabbles said:I couldn't find a Harriott thread but what is the point in this? He's not in the team, he knows we're trying to move him on. He was supportive of KAG when he scored and tweeted him congratulations for his goal. He likes social media, was just innocently putting something up on his Instagram account
If whoever posted that saw Callum in person they would go all soft and ask for a photo. Proper bell ends.17 -
He's still a kid! Come on!Leeds_Addick said:Retweets transfer rumours about himself, bad attitude imo and rather not have him at the club.

He's a few months older than I am.cafcnick1992 said:

I used to really like him as a player, fast and exciting. But his attitude has lead him to become my least favourite player at the club.

To be honest I think Harriott leaves him self open to this sort of stuff with all the "Messi" nonsense. It was a plank thing to say but let's not go mad, it's a guy saying he should be on the bench when let's be honest, he probably should.0
-
please give me one example of his "bad attitude" ...............
Meanwhile, other awards handed out on the evening saw Callum Harriott named as the Community Trust's Player of the Year for his good work in the community this season (THE BASTARD!!!)

you might not like him but all this "bad attitude" nonsense make you sound like a right doughnut19 -
He is young but you have to admit it's odd if he did re tweet a transfer rumour about himself. It's extremely naive when you know you have hundreds of Charlton supporters following you.
Having said that i think he's an underrated player and i don't think he has an attitude problem at all.

Didn't he bring his kid onto the pitch last year wearing an Arsenal kit?0

Perhaps they support Arsenal ?Leeds_Addick said:Didn't he bring his kid onto the pitch last year wearing an Arsenal kit?

How old is his child... can't be older than 3 or something so can't imagine he's a passionate gunner who insisted on wearing his Arsenal shirt.Bedsaddick said:

As long as a player doesn't wear the shirt of another team it doesn't matter whos team he dresses his child in,5
-
Can't imagine Harriott himself made the decision just in order to wind you up.Leeds_Addick said:

He put a picture up of him wearing an Arsenal jacket aswell. That I didn't have too much of a problem with though because that's his private life.nth london addick said:As long as a player doesn't wear the shirt of another team it doesn't matter whos team he dresses his child in,

You can't possibly be annoyed that a toddler was wearing an Arsenal kit . That makes absolutely no sense.Leeds_Addick said:

If that wound you up, don't follow Jackson or Solly on twitter.5

Apart from re tweeting things and his son wearing an Arsenal shirt what other evidence do we have of his 'bad attitude?'2

Unlikely Harriot will be signed by arsenal any time soon.
I've seen him play a few times, has some pace but looks a bit lightweight and first touch isn't always what you'd like to see. I wouldn't say he won't make it in the championship given more exposure. He would have to show more than I've seen to play in the premiership.
I don't follow the twitter storms in a tea cup. Retweeting a transfer rumour does sound a bit silly but then the whole Twitter instant gratification thing is rubbish.1 -
I don't. It's the fact Harriott dressed his toddler in an Arsenal kit to walk onto the valley pitch.Bedsaddick said:

Again, different. That's their personal life. Obviously I don't think every Charlton player should support Charlton...IA said:If that wound you up, don't follow Jackson or Solly on twitter.

Comparison with JBG on Saturday when he crossed at the first opportunity for the goal. Harriott failed to get a cross in during his time on the pitch. Above all there is a very big target to aim for.
He needs to understand where the posts are and that goals win matches.0 -

Winger lets his child wear an Arsenal kit to Charlton match = bad attitude
Club captain refers to Arsenal as "we" on a platform where he's speaking to loads of Charlton fans = fine, no problem
I don't care about either, but struggling to see how one is much worse than the other.6 -
Callum has shown football criticism but is a fine young man, with no bad nature or attitude from anything I have seen or read,8
-
It's his personal account, no affiliation to the club on there.IA said:

Harriott was 'at work' if you like.

Surely what he or his child wears means nothing to us, so long as callum is in his kit and team wear when at work?Leeds_Addick said:

Given up thinking he will make it with us, shame as I always thought he had bags of potential but he seems to have gone completely off the boil. I have always thought he tried hard and never hid even when the crowd got on his back. Does his fair share of defensive work to. Good luck to him.
As for crap comments by fans on social media. I think if I was a player I would generally laugh it off, as in the Champ I would probably be earning £5K pw + for running round a footy pitch, kicking a ball, keeping fit and having loads of time to focus on other hobbies, interests and family. I would also know the comment was almost certainly from one of two types of people; some sad sack with a dead end job going nowhere in life and angry with the world because of their own problems or a spotty teenager with no social skills and abilities.2
