Oh - and the improvements to the only alternative road - the EN125 - which were supposed to have been made BEFORE the tolls were introduced, have still not started almost five years later...
Never mind mate. Come over to Prague sometime soon. Some of the politicians like to claim that the country is overtaking Portugal. A drive to Brno, attempting to follow your route on Google maps, followed by a train journey back, will show you what a load of bollocks that is. But there is the beer....
Did this and doing it again next week. Stopped in Bayonne and just outside Sevilla on the way down. On the way back made just one stop in San Sebastián. Driving back at 750mls per day a bit tough and may well take a bit more time going back. Took several wrong turns coming back and actually ended up driving through the middle of Paris during Friday rush hour, not recommended. Driving down through Spain by far the best part of the drive.
