So we sign an international player, a player no one on CL has seen and the negative bed wetters come out with:-
"sounds like a character from Carry on up the Khyber"
"Sounds like LePoint Mk2"
"Dead ringer of Omar Pouso"
What a bunch of saddos.
Welcome Ahmed please ignore the waste of air users that infest parts of our support base.26 -
Coquelin type mould I believe (obviously not quite his calibre) but could be decent if he gets a strong partnership with JC, they'll cover some decent ground. Good luck to him here.5

And there was I about to say we picked him up cheap from Kashi Konverters.Greenie said:So we sign an international player, a player no one on CL has seen and the negative bed wetters come out with:-

I remember comments like "hope he's only back up" and suggestions that he had a bad attitude, but he turned out to be one of the better signings.
It'll be interesting to see how our CMs are used and how our midfield lines up. Could mean Diarra will play CB.
A Metz fan on Twitter said his strength is that he's everywhere. If we play 3-5-2/5-3-2 surely that means JBG will move inside (can't see him being dropped or played as wing back) to play the more attacking and creative role.
To do that he'd need energy around him and maybe that's the thinking with Cousins and Kashi (or Ba) alongside him.0 -
Saying that a player is the spitting image of another player is no reflection of their footballing ability. What is "saddo" about such an observation? Have a look at their photos, they could be identical twins.Greenie said:So we sign an international player, a player no one on CL has seen and the negative bed wetters come out with:-

I wonder how Guy behaves when he's excited. Normally such a reserved bloke.Callumcafc said:Olly Groome @ollygroome 14m14 minutes ago
Worth noting that Guy Luzon is particularly excited about securing Kashi's signature. #cafc12 -
Mmmm totally overwhelmed2

lol! Charlton fans slit their wrists because we're not signing anyone... Now moaning because Kashi isnt the right shape and size, get a fucking grip people for crying out loud!8
-
Welcome Ahmed.
If Luzon rates him highly then I am very pleased that we've signed him.
Knock em cold son.2 -
Interesting that he comes from the side that is managed by Jose Riga since this June.2

Welcome Ahmed...a few of these and they'll all be won over...

P.S. You may not hear that sort of noise from the West Lower (or indeed many other parts).

Welcome Ahmed, know nothing about him but manager wants him and ex fans seem positive. Good sign, though really would like some of these signings supplemented with some Britsh ones please.
Me starting to think looking at a few of the posts above that some people are now looking for some fans to post anything not positive so they can rip into them....13 -
Thing is, like when we signed Igor I feel happier when we sign somebody you know is the manager's choice.6

Ironic that Scoham mentions Ben Haim above as he was slagged off as a terrible possible signing by certain posters on here.AFKABartram said:

Welcome AK. Does seems to give us a lot of midfielders but we need back up to Jackson.1 -
Really? I'm surprised!AFKABartram said:Welcome Ahmed, know nothing about him but manager wants him and ex fans seem positive. Good sign, though really would like some of these signings supplemented with some Britsh ones please.

I'm sick to death of it mate, the constant negatively on here is just beyond a joke, from the never ending abuse the owner gets to the flack any new player who signs for us receives.
It's turning a very good, generally balanced forum, into a cauldron of negativity that appears to be inhabited by what I can only assume are moaning old men.23 -
Fair point but I guessed I just lumped you in with the negative buggers. Apologies.queensland_addick said:

I generally like reading your posts and you seem like a decent bloke. I also have some sympathy with your views on the negativity about this signing (a lot of which I think was tongue in cheek anyway), but quite a lot of your recent posts have themselves been unnecessarily mildly abusive/negative about other posters. I think I remember "bunch of winkles" recently. Now they are "negative bed wetters", "saddos", "waste of air users" as well. How about disagreeing without slagging off fellow Charlton fans and CL users? You make your points well without having to do that.24 -
Well said that man, could not agree more.Greenie said:

Never heard of him but you can just tell by the way he is holding that shirt he isn't interested.
Awful signing.9 -
After doing my research, it appears Kashi was an ever present in 2013/14 when Metz romped to the ligue 2 title and won promotion to the top flight (playing alongside Sakho of West Ham). Then played 15 games in the French top flight. Also a full international.
After playing the likes of Bordeaux, PSG and Monaco last year I am sure he is shitting it at the prospect of the Championship.....
On a serious note him and Cousins look a useful midfield partnership and more than useful for us to push on. Key for me is who we bring in to play on the left as along with JBG that's our offensive threat.
Ba and Jacko as back ups. Diarra and Fox as a back up centre half partnership to Bauer and a new centre back. New Morrocan left back to allow wiggins to spend the season on the physios couch.5
