Saving the best for last again?0

Probably been said already, but 1.5 hours of football highlights with no studio or pundits would be my ideal footy show.
Even with MOTD I fast forward the bits inbetween games, because the analysis is always far too bland and (annoyingly) has pundits who give off the impression they are holding back proper insider knowledge of the game. All IMHO.6 -

I haven't seen this show yet but sounds so bad its unmissable.0
-
How late did they show Charlton last night?0
-
As late as they could, about twenty past twelve!0
-
Got bit of a pasting in the Metro this morning who said the format needs to change! They did point out how difficult it was to get together 1.5 hours of highlights from 60+ games in less than 4 hours... fair enough - but the show style still needs to be changed.0

72 teams in the league. 60+ games to edit on a Saturday.cafc-west said:Got bit of a pasting in the Metro this morning who said the format needs to change! It can be improved but it's not as bad as some say.
It already has 3 things in it's favour over the BBC show
1. No Maniche
2. No Claridge
3. No Clem1 -
Blasphemy - probably one of the most ludicrous comments ever on CL. They, plus Leroy were the backbone for a show that fulfilled our lives on a weekly basis. Where else can you sit and start watching a programme at midnight on a Saturday and finish at 3am a week later the following Wednesday. The FLS had everything. I'm so angered by this comment that Adam Virgo is going, Manish (Not Maniche - he's not a Portuguese midfielder) is coming back as my profile picture. Shame on you SheffieldRedSheffieldRed said:

Didn't mind Leroy.

Got to be honest...they didn't quote the number - they mentioned the 4 hours - but I worked out 60 and got it wrong!Paddy Powell said:

The show last night was better.
We had 70 seconds instead of 45.
Having no audience made it 100% better for me.
Will always Prefer BBC over the Advert saturated Channels.
Missed Stevie boy telling me about the 60 different clubs he played for.5 -

Hope it's not some of the feedback on here they've been listening too, otherwise Adam Virgo may mysteriously disappear6 -
Kelly's a nice girl but tends to do your head in a bit after a while.
And from where did they drag up Adam Virgo?Maybe he should drag-up.
All in all can't wait for the next one!0 -

It's difficult to pick a game based on results. For extended coverage you need multiple cameras rather than just one. That's why on the BBC show the main game was often a Sky game - multi camera. If something finishes 4-4 but it was just covered by a single camera you are going to get goals and highlights. And the budget won't cover multi-camera coverage of all the games.
C5 will know they have screwed up so let's see what they do next week.0 -
They mentioned last night that Saturday night's main game will be MK Dons v Preston.1

Adam Virgo has a huge head. And when was it okay for anyone to wear a purple suit other than Jack Nicholson as the Joker in Batman.LouisMend said:
