Fox is a weird one because his potential really could be anything. When Powell first started putting him in he looked steady and had broken through at a later age than most really good youth players. At that point I wouldn't have said he looked like a likely Championship first teamer in the future, and certainly not one who would displace Wiggins but he's looked good at the end of last season and in this one and rightly kept Wiggins out. To get to the point where Luzon was happy enough with Fox to sell Rhoys shows how much he's progressed. I don't know why people like to pick on Fox but he's a hell of a lot further on than anyone thought he would be at this stage. He could end up being a Premier League left back or he could drop off completely. There's just no way of telling
No way does Fox look like a PL defender at the moment, Gomez stood out as a far better player, as did the younger Solly, or Danny Mills.
He might be a lower PL defender in the future, or more of Grant Basey (before the bad injury)
Hope he is carrying a knock as in the last few games he has regressed.
Someone on here (can't remember who), said he bruised his leg against Rotherham and he's obviously now played 2 more games carrying the injury. I don't know if it's true.
Don't think it's a coincidence that his performance has 'dipped' since Cousins has been moved out to left mid (not a critisism of Cousins, he's just not a left mid!), and his performances significantly improved at the end of last season when he had Bulot in front of him, who did a great job going forward and helping Fox out defensively.

Oh no a bruised leg.
Man the f*** up.
I was going to say badly bruised, but I knew some twat would nit pick that
I'm digging my boots out because if he can sign for Man Utd then I still have a chance of making it as a pro at 45 years old and with dodgey knees but a reasonable left peg and half a brain
So, a top club, with a top scouting network, who know the game and players inside out and recognise potential, have seen something in Fox. Reckon they need to chat to the experts on here first though before they make any rash decisions!!
Morgan Fox is a good honest full back, who defends his position well, which is what you want in a full back. Too many full backs are judged on what they do going forward. However, he can't defend on his inside. When opponents come inside and attack his right foot, he struggles. Premier League teams will work that out fairly quickly. Zaha did on Wednesday night.
That's not to say he can't improve. He also needs to improve his crossing, which is erratic.

About 3/4 weeks ago Meire was quoted in SLP talking about offering Fox a new contract. The transfer window won't open until January. Agent trying to get that bit more money for him or genuine interest from Man Utd?

In future can the players not on international duty after say being given 3 or 4 days off, then work hard at set plays at Sparrows lane.
It felt like they had all been on their hols for a fortnight and then returned to work totally unprepared ?
Man the f*** up.

Must have the same agent as Poyet.
