Maybe when they catch him he could sit on the sofa and a few lucky fans (including Mart77) could have 5 mins to throw bottles at him from a few feet away. See how funny he thinks it is then.

Must be a way to turn it into a fundraiser for the upbeats.

Did nobody on here see it happen ?

If something is thrown from the back (or near the back) it is very hard to see who actually threw it, and some people have been wrongly accused of things in recent years. The cameras though should have a clear image of who threw it, or failing that see the people in question openly drinking the bottles at some stage previously.

I genuinely can't believe the club do not have footage given how sparse the area was yesterday

If it was a bird it wouldn't have reached the row in front.

Airman's daughter was just behind him. See earlier in the thread and a couple of others posted they saw him.

Certain people laughed off the bottle throwing at Palace as lads having a laugh, and adding 'atmosphere', it's only a matter a time before one of OUR supporters will be seriously hurt by one of OUR fans.

Keep this up and our hard won reputation as a family club will be ruined.

A few years ago one of our own fans was injured in the Lower North, due to a coin being thrown, an elderly lady if I recall. throwing things into the crowd is just criminal and I mean that literally.
  • The club is on the case.

    Good. Prick.

    P

A woman on the Facebook charlton fan page posted earlier that the guy was sitting in front of her. Surely from that we can find the seat number and find out if it was match day or season ticket used.

The problem being that, the twat may not have been sitting in the correct seat. There were some many empty seats, you could pick and chose where you sat.
Surely if the seat is identified, that'd help with the CCTV as it would be a simple matter of knowing exactly the camera that's covering that area of seating? Hope that prick gets banned!

Now that could be excellent half-time entertainment. Bring back the stocks!

To comply with health and safety they should be throwing sponges of course......

Or just get our strikers to shoot at him

  • To repeat my comment from the previous page, maybe it would be better if the louder, younger fans went back to the lower tier, as are the accoustics that much better upstairs?

    1) Nearer the pitch, so more intimidating to opposition players? And a fuller and more lively lower North would look better on TV.
    2) Less chance of something being thrown from the upper tier and landing on someone in the lower tier.
    3) It would make it easier to sell Upper Tier with Crossbars/lounge type tickets

After all, if safe standing is ever allowed in the UK, it will be the lower North that will be converted, not the upper North.

Thanks a lot for those fans who are assisting the Club in the investigation and for info, sent to me, which I'm passing to the Club.

Maybe leave them in the upper north in that case.
  • The club has banned Nick Pope for life after clear evidence emerged that he had lost his bottle.

On the subject of recent lack of stewards, a couple of old guys wandered into the lower west (block E) just after half time on Sunday both carrying pints of bitter. Nobody stopped or confronted them. A few minutes later the ball went very close to them and they may well have been spotted on TV holding the beer.

Should be OK. Can't really call the stuff we get served at The Valley as alcoholic!

Glad to hear your daughter is ok Mart. Hopefully, this twat gets all that's coming to him.

To the scumbag who decided it was acceptable to throw their bottle of booze from the North Upper, which hit my 12 year old on her birthday, I hope the club ban you for life. Also those around who know who threw it and yet did nothing, f**k you too! Way too many muppets, who would be better suited to following millwall, are rolling up at our place.

Not sure why you think Millwall fans would find it acceptable for bottles to be thrown and hit a young girl.
Not acceptable anywhere but would not be surprised if it were you lot. I do remember a spanner throwing incident some years back. ;-)
Doesn't surprise me either, still get numpties throwing plastic bottles. When they have landed on the tier below the youths responsible cowered when a few people came upstairs to remonstrate with them.

Wait, to confirm, I don't think Airman is a prick, but the bloke who threw the bottle. :-)

That was really shoddy English. Oh well.

    @Airman Brown threw the bottle?
