Big shock. Clearly something not right with that car.
But it doesnt explain why Russell is in P4 though
Or after a poor Quali in Bahrain, does that just confirm George's potential
Yeah, I mean it looks like there’s something not right with Hamilton’s car specifically - like something’s broken on it or something. There’s no way he’s finishing 15th to Russell’s 4th if the cars are the same. He’s had bad days at the office before, but nothing like that.
Its a shame that this particular circuit isnt elsewhere in the world, as really do like it - But its so dangerous here - Sounds like Mick hasnt gotten out of the cockpit either, with the medical car on site so hopefully he's okay.
Has just confirmed he's talking to the Doctor, despite still being in the car so thank fuck for him being conscious
Big shock. Clearly something not right with that car.
So when he wins it’s the driver that makes the difference but when he gets knocked out in Q1 it’s the cars fault? Hmm…
Not the same car though was it? As Jimmy’s quote points out:
I know what you’re both saying and I understand where you’re coming from, but the time difference just didn’t make sense at the time unless there was a problem specifically with Hamilton’s car. He’s capable of a bad day, but this would’ve been extraordinary if the cars were identical..
This makes a lot of sense now , when they showed the splitscreen between George and Lewis , it looked like Lewis was definitely struggling to get it turned in properly in the first sector.
Very dangerous circuit with 200+ mph top speeds and no run offs. Very exciting to watch though - but potentially lethal. Apparently the race would only last 1 hour and 17 minutes start to (non-stop) finish...I'd put my money on 2 hours with the likely safety car intervals.

The F2 Sprint race only just managed to finish inside the time limit yesterday.
Those who steward @ Monaco really do boost their reputations at races like this - Might help that there could be more run off areas there, but you never seem to get delays at Monaco like we've seen in Saudi Arabia.
With Hamilton saying that he might just start from the pits
I wouldnt be surprised if that was partly down to stay out of first lap trouble
Almost guarantee some big incidents tonight, bigger cars, cold tyres after pitting. Wouldn't be surprised if it finished around 9pm.This track is the most dangerous on the calendar, throw in human rights issues and missiles landing nearby it's a shame they won't pull it because of the money involved
I'd be staggered if we got through tonight's race without a red flag at least. Just don't like this track at all from a safety standpoint. I know it passed all the FIA tests but I just feel like the speeds and concrete walls are asking for trouble.
Ocon was millimetres from copying Mick's crash in Q3.
Not sure I’m ok with Perez not giving Sainz the place back until after the restart.
Obviously, they didn’t want Sainz all over the back of Verstappen, so they gained an advantage by waiting until after the restart. Not against the rules, but definitely not in the right spirit.
Shows the difference between him and Verstappen really, as Max didnt learn last week that Leclerc would get him back - Lewis on the other hand, learns within one lap, so waits a little longer before passing.

Hamilton had a shocker today. But the Merc looks a long way off the top 4

With Mick Schumacher out of the race we're already down to just 18-cars tonight.
Wonder if Yuki's problems might leave Red Bull a little anxious again
Talks about a great overtake from Russell on Magnussen - But Kevin was never ahead in the first place
