    I haven't watched enough F2 this season

    Is Bortoleto all that?

Very consistent... Seems to have a knack of being in the right place at the right time.

e.g. Monza where he started last, got a SC at the right time and ended up romping away with the win finishing 9secs ahead of P2

So he's certainly no slouch either - Been on pole twice this season, so has the pace.

Be interesting to see how he does in F1, he wont have the same spec as everyone else, so will need a bit more to stand out

Wouldn't say this is a vintage F2 but Gabi has been the most consistent in the field and not had the meltdowns of Hadjar. Next year's will be very interesting if the rumours work out.
  • Have to admit with so many rookies coming through next year, you can see there being a bit of a bottleneck again for any F2 Champions - Its going to be the likes of Gasly / Ocon / Hulkenberg / Tsunoda that will need to worry about their futures going forward, but even then I cant really see many breaking through any time soon.

Maybe Lawson / Doohan will be at risk too, especially if Mini does well as an Alpine junior - But the only name I can see appearing next in F1 as a rookie at this stage is Lindblad.

Yeah I only see Lindblad as being one with a genuine shot at getting to F1 from the next crop. I think there might be a lull in rookies for a little while.

A lull in rookies isn’t necessarily a bad thing, gives people a chance to actually settle in

did the switch in the nick of time, one lap later and they would have been screwed
  • Shame for Bearman, was doing quite well until his tyres fell off a cliff

Should disqualify Max for the rest of the weekend for the safety car infringement

    Verstappen:
“Sir! Sir! Piastri is cheating! That’s not allowed! Tell the stewards!”
    Stewards:
“Shut up you little creep. In fact, it’s you who’s cheating. Have a 5 second penalty. Twat.”

  • Rain has just made Quali interesting @ 6pm, but as we know, that'll be delayed.

    Got to love Interlagos

I think they need to get it done tonight, even if it is just Q1 as rain is predicted tomorrow and it could be tough getting quali done.
  • If Quali doesnt get done, wonder if they use the results from FP1 or SQ

If FP1 then we get Norris - Russell - Bearman at the front for the race

True...but I think the biggest issue at the moment is how dark it is.  Hopefully brighter in the AM.

Think they've got about two hours of light left to try and get things done.

Looks like the grid might be based on Sprint Race result unless they can get quali done.

Chris Medland saying there’s no regulation so FIA would decide how to order the grid tomorrow. Seems odd there’s no protocol at all
