The Perez thing has basically turned into the F1 version of the manager you really know needs to be sacked but keeps on somehow getting more games when the situation is already dire. No idea why Marko is waiting until after Abu Dhabi to decide.
It's a shame politics will stop them promoting Tsunoda, I'd expect it to be Lawson to the big team and Colapinto to VCARB.1 -

Incidentally…….he’s only “three times” champion.5 -
F1 has confirmed we'll have eleven teams on the Grid for 2026.2

Will be very interesting to see what route GM go for drivers. Unless Colton Herta has a huge uptick in form I don't see him being an option because he won't get an SL.1 -
Will be good to have a new engine manufacturer in the grid with Alpine/Renault withdrawing as an engine manufacturer. Honda coming back, full scale, in 2026 as well.2

Hilarious that all they had to do was remove Andretti from the equation to get it across the line. However it's still ran by them and the new CEO of Andretti Global is quoted in the F1 article, just named as TWG Group CEO instead.
I fully expect once they get a foot in the door, the Andretti name will re-appear somewhere1 -

I think the current rumour is Ferrari will run Antonio Fuoco or Arthur Leclerc because Shwartzman has left entirely and obviously Ollie doesn't count0 -
I really hope with 22 cars on the grid they review the points system. Just ten cars point scoring means there’s 12 cars not, with many simply going through most of the race with no chance of scoring.Bring in a points system that others something of interest to the middle and back of the grid1

Problem with scoring everyone is you need the gaps between each place to make it more risk/reward for points. However to do that you need to make the increments bigger, so you end up with something like:
75, 60, 50, 42, 36, 30, 25, 21, 18, 15, 13, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 11 -
I don’t see necessarily that as a bad thing. Currently a driver in 11th forced to take an extra pit stop and drop and drops down to 18th, it’s effectively race over for them. Whats the point of racing hard for the last 15-20 laps with nothing on offer? If they know they can (in your system) double their points from 5 to 10, it’s worth racing, don’t you think?0

In the last ten years there has been what, 3 times it's gone to the last race and one of those shouldn't have been so tight due to Bernies stupid double points idea. The season being over with 3-6 races to go isn't great and let's be honest, no one gives a fck about the constructors.
With a closer points system, all scoring there'd be defo be 3, possibly 4 or 5 people still in the title race.0 -
I would suggest points down to 15th, as follows: -
40, 35, 30, 27, 24, 21, 18, 15, 12, 9, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1.
It would tighten up the points differential at the top and give the lesser teams something to race for. It would also make it more likely to take the championship to the final race, as a DNF would be so costly.1 -

Mick Schumacher is leaving his role of "Stand behind Toto looking serious, whilst wearing Headphone" at Mercedes
Guess Bottas will be replacing him, given the rumours.2 -

Red Bull just need to end the bullshit comments from Horner and Marko and make a proper statement1

Russell has been bloody solid of late... If Mercedes manage to build a decent car in the next few years, then he's a dark horse for a Championship.
Finally beginning to show some consistency with that potential.1 -

Alpine sign Paul Aron as their 2025 reserve. Makes sense with the hitech connection through Ollie Oakes as Team Principal1 -

Well that was unexpected at the end of a uninspiring Sprint race.0
-
Was surprised they did it but smart from Lando to do it.
Absolutely atrocious race from Perez again.1 -
Perez forgetting to start is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in racing!2

Lovely result in the F2 Sprint Race!!1

And that's why Hadjar won't make it to F1. Just aren't impressed by him compared to the drivers that are going to F1.1
