Got my tickets to Silverstone next year, 4 days camping and in Village B all booked up2

Looks like Ocon is out at Haas. Assumedly for Rafa Camara.1

Strong rumours (just rumours for now) that the Abu Dhabi grand prix will be cancelled, which also means Qatar will be cancelled as well.
Imola is apparently set to host the season finale instead.1 -
Local temperature highs of 9° in December in ImolaChris_from_Sidcup said:Strong rumours (just rumours for now) that the Abu Dhabi grand prix will be cancelled, which also means Qatar will be cancelled as well.

I just can't see it being viable1 -
Yep - would be the coldest race in years. Snow is not out the question … apparently the race weekend last year was 4c.
tyres literally wouldn’t work0 -
They'd have to invent new super dooper softs. Surely they can have another one in Singapore/Australia/somewhere hot thats not middle east?0
-
10-15° in Istanbul in December, could be more viable? Portimao has similar temperatures too, slightly higher on average than Imola at least.
Can't see them going somewhere they've never been before so that rules out Buriram, Fuji is just as cold, as is Magny-Cours and Paul Ricard.
Only other option is agreeing to go back to a circuit they've already been to this season, or scrapping the races altogether0 -
Istanbul / Portimao are both under going updates to prepare for the 2027 season around the end of the year.sam3110 said:10-15° in Istanbul in December, could be more viable? Portimao has similar temperatures too, slightly higher on average than Imola at least.

Seeing as both titles will be done by that point they should just scrap them and end it in Vegas. Imola has been too small for F1 cars just feels like having a race for the sake of one and likely money reasons0

Did a tour of Imola last year. Wonderfully historic and proper race track but it’s no better suited for modern F1 than Brands Hatch tbh2

Imola in December just so the home faithful get to see Kimi lift the title. FA is right though the main options are off the table with construction.1

I agree but i suspect there are contractual/sponsor agreements tied into there being a certain number of races and F1 won't want to lose more money.BigRedEvil said:Seeing as both titles will be done by that point they should just scrap them and end it in Vegas. The hosting fee for Qatar is $55m and Abu Dhabi is $42m. When you factor in that Saudi which was cancelled earlier this year is also $55m, that's a lot of lost revenue.0 -
Kimi out of qualifying!!!0

What a Quali session from Russell!0
-
Didn't think we'd see that kind of gap all season. Staggering and I don't think the next Merc upgrade is coming until Singapore?ForeverAddickted said:What a Quali session from Russell!1 -
The Merc sandbags fell off.0

The Merc has such a power/battery usage advantage that once he catches a car they'll just be a sitting duck on that 14 mile long straight. I doubt they'll be able to do much to stop him coming past whether they want to or not, other than maybe slow him down a bit through the twisty bits until they get to the main straight. Throw in a lap 10 to 20 safety car, as is always possible at Baku, and I reckon he'll be back to second by mid race distance. He might not catch Russell this time though as Russell looked faster this weekend even without Kimi's error.MrOneLung said:
everyone will just defer to him and let him pass, so as to 'not interfere in the title race' but by doing that they are interfering in the title raceMarcusH26 said:Kimi out of qualifying!!!1 -
Typically good race in the F2 today... Such a shame / silly mistake from Dunne to throw away the winJust hope this isn't where the title gets decided0
-
What's Russell's thinking here? He's absolutely bombed around the formation lap0

Beautiful start from Russell... Whatever he was thinking on the formation lap, always felt deliberate0

Quite funny listening to Hadjar getting frustrated here... You do realise who is in front of you, and who your team mate is right?0
-
Has there been a more disastrous season than Aston Martin for all the chat and top end technical hirings? Double DNF after what was supposed to be a big upgrade1
-
TBF, Red Bull should give him a chance to catch Piastri, Max isn’t.ForeverAddickted said:Quite funny listening to Hadjar getting frustrated here... You do realise who is in front of you, and who your team mate is right?1 -
So is Colapinto going to get death threats from French and British F1 fans?
I maintain he's not good enough for F1 and his fans are a disgrace1 -
Would be more than happy to see Colapinto replaced by Dunne or even Doris the Alpine Tea Lady!!Purely because of his fanbase, clearly seeing the Canapino effect in F1 now0
-
Interesting to see how bullish Max will be here1
-
Brilliant restart from Russell0
-
Do McLaren not speak to their drivers? Piastri does exactly the same thing as Lando earlier1
-
Would probably be Paul Aron as reserve. Dunne can still obviously win F2ForeverAddickted said:Would be more than happy to see Colapinto replaced by Dunne or even Doris the Alpine Tea Lady!!Purely because of his fanbase, clearly seeing the Canapino effect in F1 now1
