Fraeye - How long, what next?

They won't sack him, at least they won't admit to it. I do think he will go, but it it will be glossed over by saying "thanks to carol for looking after first team affairs whilst we carried out an exhaustive search for the right man" the right man being some other clueless puppet on a short list of one from some obscure club in Belgium - one that they are probably trying to locate tonight.5

The problem is so dire at the moment that i'm not sure that many managers will fancy the job, nor given our situation will there be many players wanting to join what seems a sinking ship. Can't hide from the fact that we have been very unlucky with injuries but makes you wonder who said no to any incoming players before the loan window shut. With all this going on and you have Katrien trying to achieve 20,000 for home games..... unbelievable.

Roland will have confidence that KF will get us out of the relegation places once the January window is done.
Sadly he won't and by then it's too late. Next season will start much the same way as the last two with RD believing that his plan will work.
Sadly it won't and by then it's too late.
Some other fall guy with a Belgian passport will take over with Roland still believing his plan will work.
Sadly it won't and by then it will be too late.
The crowds will be gone and may not ever recover.
This January might just be one of the most important months in the clubs history. Karel has a lot of responsibility and hope resting on his inexperienced shoulders.
Can he deliver ?
Sadly he won't and for Charlton Athletic it will be all too late.3 -
What's makes you confident of that?ShootersHillGuru said:

Personally (and this isn't my preferred choice) If interim management was the intention they might as well have given in to Jackson - at least he would have had the fans backing and respect of the players.1

'There's nowt like a fool and his money'.daveydanger said:Say they do now cone to their senses and decide to start looking for a proper manager..
It will mean this past two months fannying around will have been completely, needlessly wasted - all because of the sheer stubbornness of our owner.
By all means be careful with our finances. Find bargains, young foreign players etc.. But it's completely idiotic to hire crap coaching and administrative staff for the sake saving relatively tiny sums of money.0 -
Because he believes his plan will work. KF is embedded in his plan and has been for a long time. It's not about the cash. Yes he want the club to be self sufficient and his deluded plan is to make that happen. We all know in modern football it can't.1

The intention was to have someone who would do as they are told and oversee our sellable assets. It also shows that they have no regard for the supporters. This one of the reasons why I refuse to go anymore.0 -
This may not, but could be terminal for our club. It is that serious. RD can always walk away, he doesn't support us anyway. Charlton is my heart, it belongs more to me than it will ever do to that bastard.6

I think a lot of people are putting a lot of emphasis on getting shot of KF before any recruitment next month. This is missing the point that if he went tonight he would only be replaced by another coach and not a manager. Any new bloke is just as unlikely to have any/much say in the quality of any recruits as the previous coaches have had. Which is why we are very unlikely to get an experienced manager parachuted in to save us.
Factor in also that even if he were sacked, he's so connected with RD, there's every possibility he'll just go back to being the man in the shadows in charge of player recruitment and the situation looks even gloomier.
Our only hope is to find three teams worse than us and tbh this team has had the stench of relegation about it for so long now and I honestly can't see that happening.8 -
More outgoings than incomings thru January ,only trouble being it will be players that are outgoing and not the CEO or

cant wait for @colin1961 to come on here and defend the regime now, (unless he has on another thread), I support CAFC but not this bunch of jokers......KF needs to go and go now.....we are screwed if he stays, unless of course, RD changes his thinking and we bring in experienced Championship players. We cant rely on kids to play week in/week out, they should be use sparsely to gain experience of the rigours of this League, not as make weights because the owner wont get a strong squad together!!2

Well done for not hyphenating, 'knob heads'. You are showing real promise and with a little more attention to detail, you should be on course for success next term.0 -

No full stop after second from bottom. It does matter if one does not want to read everything twice.......1

Clearly we are about to start a positive winning run that will propel us to the play - offfs and we will sooner or later score a dozen goals a game!
The signs were all there today.... Positivity (from the Burnley fans) ..... A committed performance (from Burnley) and four, get that, four goals, (from Burnley) - a clear sign that if the squad is driven up the motorway a bit and away from those pesky 2% of negative Charlton protesters (who probably never go to away games, or even home games, or any games, or even know what a football looks like) that the team has absolutely and totally have loads of positives! And that's on a bad day! Imagine how positive things will be on a good day where we captilise of the positives!
Our positive promotion push can only be aided by positively selling our best players in January and the positive potential of a sixth manger inside two years! So many positives to look forward to next season!
Think positive!
PS forgot to mention the sofa!

I blame the fans for these bad results.
Well, more specifically,I blame myself. I've only been able to attend two matches while Fraeye has been manager - Sheffield Wednesday home and Birmingham away.
Sorry folks.5 -
Instead we will get rejects from RD's empire and some more kids. It would take a hell of a spending spree to get us out of this mess.killerandflash said:
Well Bob and Guy were given the boot pretty suddenly. The one thing that might be saving KF is that bringing in new players in January may turn things around, depending on whose fault our duff squad was in the first place...mogodon said:
You are assuming that he a) has any idea about the result or b) gives a ****. Fraeye is here until the new year. I don't even think many players would have to be signed to change things. Only about 4 and I could see results improving. That's not going to happen though, the ideological madman won't change.0
