I am reminding of Kevin Lisbie's hat-trick against Liverpool. You knew it was the peak of his career in spite of nis relative youth.

    How can you say that?

Young Kevin Lisbie has years left!

I think a lot of players would be pretty happy with that as a career peak!

Just seen Makienok only played 16 games for Preston, scoring 5 goals all before the new year... anyone know where he disappeared to?

Back at Palermo for the time being. Hopefully he'll shake that cement out of his boots while he's there.

Grayson told the Post: “The fact Simon didn’t start too much was probably down to other lads doing so well. “He was a bit of a last throw of the dice in a game, a player who gave us something a bit different.

    High praise from Grayson.

Grayson: We're 1 down with 5 left Thommo, what do we do?
Thommo: Send on the tall, blonde lad sitting over there?
Grayson: Jesus wept, really? Bit of a last throw of the dice isn't it?
    Thommo: Yes, but he's different.
Grayson: (groan), go on then, get him warmed up.
