Prefer lookie and at least Yann and and Dorian will be back in January.

I would absolutely love Yann back & would welcome back Dervite, as he should slot in no problem. No problems with getting to know the area, all the players etc & both know the league.

Criminal that we let them go in the first place, without replacement.
Simple answer money .. Devitte agreed a three year deal with us only to have his wages doubled by Bolton to around 27k that why he left ... we all know what happened with Yann he chose to go instead of staying to help us fight relegation
I am good friends with someone very very close to Dervite and to state this is utter garbage Colin. What possible 'pleasure' do you get abut making up this rubbish?

Dervite joined us on low wages initially because of his knees.

He was considering re-signing for us as he felt he owed Powell given Powell was the one who had given Dervite the opportunity to come back to the UK despite his knees and then played him regularly.

We sacked Powell and then offered Dervite a reduction in his wages to sign. Not surprisingly he looked around and left. We were no where near £13K.
Dodgy knees? Didn't know that. Could that be why he was offered a reduced deal?

No, he signed originally on pretty low wages because of his dodgy knee. He then played regularly for us and we said here is an even lower package and we have sacked the chap you were loyal to.

Let's hope this hasn't set a precedent for signing out of contract players on the cheap because they have baggage - such as injury, temperament issues or are just plain bloody useless.

Dervite was a good player for us in the end. He's hardly set the world alight at the Rebok though. As for Yann, his departure was criminal. But now he's 34. I think he'd be great cover if we were mid table eyeing up the play offs. And would be great for Mak and Lookie to play alongside him. plus to take him back would mean the owners sort of admit they were wrong.

If there is any light at the end of the tunnel, it is using pace on the break with Reza, Lookman and RVT. Igor would strengthen that with his physical presence and recall Callum. Getting Yann back would pacify some supporters, but would need a rethink on how we play. Maybe convert him to mf. He would be a cleverer version of JJ and decent at corners both ends. Dervite and Bauer at the back, Harry as cover and teach THD to defend or promote Edwards. Need a quality loanee until Kashi back. Konza will be quality, not sure why Sarr came on with game lost.
