Yeah for me, basically that translation meant... I'd come back under a different regime, for example if PV took over the club31
-
He also said fans will start to protest with there feet2
-
Agreed but that shows how much he really does love this club, true icon imoForeverAddickted said:Yeah for me, basically that translation meant... I'd come back under a different regime, for example if PV took over the club

With backing and the ability to purchase and pick players appropriate to the level that we're playing at? I can think of worse things..
Oh the irony of Richard Murray saying that he hoped to see Chris Powell back at the club in the future.0 -
charlton do not deserve a bloke like Chris Powell.22
-
Looks like the stars are aligning0

If PV took over I'm sure he'd interview Powell. Give him the job? Maybe not I don't know.0

The regime doesn't but they are not The Club , we are .1eyedtutt said:charlton do not deserve a bloke like Chris Powell.

Get them out. Get him in. Then give him some time to clean up the shit we currently have and hopefully we will be back to where we were before these arseholes took over.1
-
Am I right in thinking that PV was instrumental in persuading the the last owners to bring Powell in?15

Just watched his segment on C5's Football League Show - I was a little emotional!
He just gets it, doesn't he?28 -
There is something special about OUR club. Last year Curbs said he would consider returning, now SCP. If we were an ordinary club, would people want to go back to a place where they were sacked or "taken them as far as they could" because I don't think so.
We ARE a special club.23 -
Why not both of them?cafckev said:There is something special about OUR club. Last year Curbs said he would consider returning, now SCP. If we were an ordinary club, would people want to go back to a place where they were sacked or "taken them as far as they could" because I don't think so.

I was thinking just the same at 5pm this evening; such a variety of faces in that crowd, all united over their adoration of the club. That's pretty special.cafckev said:There is something special about OUR club. Last year Curbs said he would consider returning, now SCP. Cant Chris Powell buy us like when Niall Quinn bought Sunderland?5

SCP may not be the best tactician we might have, but the fact that he absolutely bleeds Charlton is worth so much more. What a man.

I'd happily take SCP back. He knows how to put a squad together that cares.
Get Powell and Kermorgant back. Two people that care and the fans adore.20 -
Not a fuckin chance in hell under the current board.2
-
I'd take him back with new owners and a more experienced assistant. He deserves better than the current state of the club.2

Lol of course he would, he's desperate for a job, beggars can't be choosers and all that1

Curbs trained him well.
He has that ability to communicate by what he doesn't say as much as what he does.
A damning indictment of the Belgian Regime overall.13 -

Varney and Chrissy? Sod the long French caravan holidays, we'll pitch up at the Valley. Can't help it, I never got over losing him.5
-
Of course he'd 'consider' coming back - there aren't likely to be many other clubs queuing up for his services.....6 wins in his last 33 games for Huddersfield.6
-
Good point, I remember there being a good percentage of fans who wanted him out of the Valley towards the end of his tenure because the 'hoofball' played.newyorkaddick said:Of course he'd 'consider' coming back - there aren't likely to be many other clubs queuing up for his services.....6 wins in his last 33 games for Huddersfield.

This kind of logic is so frustrating. Huddersfield are almost as void of talent as we are. When he had a budget he won a championship. Then took that team to the edge of the play offs. Criticism of his management skills coincided with us losing our investment, our players and our direction. There is no but.newyorkaddick said:Of course he'd 'consider' coming back - there aren't likely to be many other clubs queuing up for his services.....6 wins in his last 33 games for Huddersfield.
