Chris Powell says ''He would consider'' coming back to Charlton...

Looked a touch emotional there as they showed the clip of the crowd chanting his name. Would love him back, but not with Pinochio and Gepeto still here...he deserves better than that.
Had the rug pulled out from under him at Huddersfield as much as had been the case with us. Didn't realise Hudds had made nearly £4m profit on Butterfield in a year. Don't think much of that went back into the squad.6 -
As much as I love the man, many don't.
Touting him as our next manager could have a devisive effect on further protest numbers.
Let's just concentrate on getting the Belgian rabble out.12 -
He will never be made manager under Duchatelet. If we get a new owner, it will be who they want, but Chrissy was doing a good job until the support stopped, and I'm sure under the right conditions would do the same again. Would love to see Curbs as director of football and Sir Chris as manager again personally, but talk of our next manager is irrelevant at this time. We have a war to win. I think a battle has been won this week, but given the stubboness of the owner, there will be more battles ahead.6

Need to concentrate on getting these clowns out of the football club before we can dream about the likes of Powell and Curbishley back in SE75

Spot on Jimmy, what happened with the sale off of talent at Huddersfield shafted him as much as the terrible twins pulling the plug with finances here did. Give him the tools for the job and backing, he'll deliver.JiMMy 85 said:
This kind of logic is so frustrating. Huddersfield are almost as void of talent as we are. When he had a budget he won a championship. Then took that team to the edge of the play offs. Criticism of his management skills coincided with us losing our investment, our players and our direction. There is no but.newyorkaddick said:Of course he'd 'consider' coming back - there aren't likely to be many other clubs queuing up for his services.....6 wins in his last 33 games for Huddersfield.

Just going to say it, I love Chris Powell, that 4th return under a new ownership ideally with Curbs involved in some higher capacity is the dream for me.
Did we always play the best football no but that was a real team we had, one we could be proud of, a team that not only smashed up League 1 but then came only four points short of a play off semi final the season after.
I hate to think what would have happened to Curbs when we got relegated from the Premier League the first time if he had been judged on the short term mind set that has infected football fans and football in general.9 -

Curbs, director of football, Chris Powell as manager, over to you Peter Varney.cafckev said:There is something special about OUR club. Last year Curbs said he would consider returning, now SCP. If we were an ordinary club, would people want to go back to a place where they were sacked or "taken them as far as they could" because I don't think so.
We ARE a special club.6 -

He was the best of our last nine managers/coaches. All the others sacked while achieving nothing or relegation.7

Chrissy Powell's emotion in he's voice was there to hear! He loves our club still just like we do, he's hurting too! I have to say I found myself getting emotional too1

If we need anyone back at Charlton at the moment; it's Jermain Defoe.1

So let me get this straight. We are getting Diego Poyet, Yann Kermogant and Chris Powell back. Can I also have my ex girlfriend and my flat in Brockley back too?6

I wouldn't care if we were playing in the Isthmian if this happened. It would be the ultimate dream.dizzee said:
