Not many things excite me more as a Charlton supporter than a "Guess the train station" mystery. And one in which Duchatelet is the star protagonist.Missed It said:
Woolwich Arsenal for DLR to City airport?InspectorSands said:The scrolling thing says "...Docklands Light Railway" - so looks like he's getting off at Greenwich or Lewisham. Sure it's him?
Surely worthy of a thread in itself. My money's on him getting off at Abbey Wood for a quick stroll to a crack den in thamesmead recommended by Murray. He's just one of those strange commuters that feels the need to get up and stand by the train door 3 stops before he needs to get off.18 -
Roland could have been getting off @ Woolwich Arsenal, getting the DLR to Stratford International and from there the Eurostar back to Belgium?0

Probably only came over to watch Strictly Come Dancing at the Dome and not been Charlton at all!ForeverAddickted said:Roland could have been getting off @ Woolwich Arsenal, getting the DLR to Stratford International and from there the Eurostar back to Belgium?

I could understand it with the old post war cattle trucks if you needed a quick exit to go urgently but there's toilets on them nowadays.RodneyCharltonTrotta said:

Spartacus, of course, died in battle at the end of the Third Servile Revolt. Rome initially saw the revolt as a policing matter but eventually had to send in the army under Crassus.
The remnants of the revolt, some 6,000 individuals were captured and crucified, making for a gruesome spectacle for travellers along the Appian Way.
Meanwhile, to maintain discipline, Crassus reintroduced decimation. That is the slaughter of a tenth of a cohort (480 legionaries) or larger unit by their comrades (lots were drawn to determine who were the executed and who did the executions). Estimates vary between 48 and 1,000 soldiers to have been killed but it is generally considered that discipline was maintained as a result.
Perhaps Roland has been in town as he has decided a similar discipline regime would work on the players - pour encourager les autres.
The original meaning of decimation - removal of a tenth - has been mangled in modern usage.
I am NOT Spartacus.5 -
What do you mean watch it... I've heard he's preparing to be in the new SeriesAthletico Charlton said:

Now you've got me intrigued. Based on your post I'm thinking either Carlos The Jackal or The Village People. Different ends of the spectrum, but I think they could both add an extra dimension to the protest campaign.DOUCHER said:

Well Roland is probably dead now then as he was facing the doors that'll open going towards Dartford (Meaning he's opened the wrong doors and either fallen on to the track or in front of another train)... Unless he's at one of the London Terminals in which case there would no mention of the DLRCurb_It said:The tweet said London bound.

Maybe had a few and standing will prevent nodding off and missing station or sitting next to someone who has been on a diet of raw garlic for the last month.RodneyCharltonTrotta said:

I know we are supposed to assume that everything KM says is a lie but did she not say in the FF that he often comes to London midweek? I'm sure (and I'm not watching it again) she made the point that he would come to more games if they were midweek as he comes 'midweek'.
Does that make it, at all, possible that this is a normal scheduled visit? I.e. it, actually, means nothing that he is in London. If, for example, he had a relationship with a women (or a man) in London, say, he might come over every week and it might have nothing to do with us at all - even if this woman (or man) was employed at the club, for example.2 -
