Brilliant... Was watching an old episode on Challenge the other day and it was an excellent show (Wasnt as good as the first couple of series though)... With the new technology now available there should be some really good designs0

Hypnodisc was my personal favourite, wonder if any if the old teams will reenter with upgraded machines1

I actually went to a making of one of the Robot Wars at Elstree studios , only to find that it was a filming of one of the Dutch Wars - with Bots no one knew, and we had to learn a few Dutch words for the audience participation - my son was very upset he ddint see any of the Bots he knew.2

Razer and Hypnodisc were my favourite, the prepubescent-voiced ginge with Chaos 2 used to annoy the ever living shit out of me. Tornado were also good as they adapted their weapons according to who they fought.

Wow, that's a blast from the past; I used to love it. It was a pretty standard part of an evenings television after school - Neighbours, The Simpsons and then Robot Wars.

Loved robot wars. In the early series there was the one with the axe, but they couldn't control it properly. Loved the episode of Spaced about robot wars1
