John is a top bloke, I dated one of his daughters for Four years. A true gent and I know my Dad really appreciated him on a matchday, huge loss for the club. I can now see it won't be long before my Dad follows him out as well. Club is completely unrecognisable two years on from this shower taking over.
Hope he doesn't go as well ... been so helpful on so many issues over the years. However, I wouldn't blame him.
Thought the same but given the current climate i dont blame him
Apart from the training ground, which imo, is the most important part of RDs player farm puzzle, what other positive things are happening at the club? I honestly can't think of anything.
The new email address - which I am 100% convinced will have been bombarded with the baboons from Facebook.
New members of the senior management team who "get" the fans and understand our frustrations and want to improve things.
The Target20k collective who are a great opportunity for fans to liaise with the club - but who again are being tarred with the brush of being in cahoots with the club.
The fact we have a manager who appears to be having some success at the moment (albeit too late IMO) but who is calling the shots more on recruitment.
Is that the same Target20k collective who only today have spoken of dismay at Roland's statement?
You accuse us of digging out the Club over everything but there isn't anything going right. And who of the 'new senior management' team' is on our side? If you mean Mel then yes she is and has seen the light. How can can even begin to defend this regime is beyond me.
All the apologists can fall back on is the "they saved us from administration" blah f****** blah.
Actions speak louder than words, look at the mess.
Hopefully our supporters have the b******* to not renew and see 8,000 in The Valley next season.
If Roland keeps going there will be 8000 outside and 2000 inside. 100 of the people inside will have GoPro cameras so those outside can see the game from their preferred viewpoint.
Never even heard of this Keohane guy. What qualifications or past experience does he have that warrants him being given the job as COO?
I've just looked at his LinkedIn to confirm I'm correct in with what I've written, and believe it to be accurate.
He previously worked for our catering contractor, Delaware North, in a managerial role. During the course of his duties he was the "Operations Director"for Delaware North at Wembley Stadium. What may sound like a pretty hefty title quickly becomes less impressive when you consider he was directing the catering facilities and staff only. His background is a Bachelors in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, but to be fair - since graduation in 1993 has been working for leisure companies.
Upon coming to Charlton he was given the role of COO, which clearly entails managerial duties over the entirety of operations at The Valley and Sparrows Lane. He's made a few notable mistakes, but the Jimmy Seed one has been the most spoken about - notably for his enthusiasm towards developing it in to something part-residential.
There's been a few rumours, which for legalities sake are probably best referred to as strong rumours only, that he's a bully towards other staff members with his new found power and has been very difficult to work with. I think there was even an insinuation that he can be difficult towards Katrien herself. So clearly he has a bit of power himself and he's making the most of it before he goes back to managing the chip stands.
Based upon his video appearance, he also has a head shaped like a testicle (Tony the Testicle, Tony the Cahone etc etc) and the presence of a pre-pubescent boy, making any accusations of power hungry bullying all the more sad and pathetic really.
Coincidentally, his previous employers - Delaware, are responsible for the current catering and service.. so clearly ineptitude is a speciality.

LOL, I suppose it could be worse and have a testicle shaped like a head.
