His actual ability I'm still not convinced on, DeGale looked absolutely ended from the first round and had none of the slippery movement he has had going back. I'm sure DeGale still has some fights in him but they wouldn't be at the level he should be at
An observation on the broadcast last night. There were no adverts, which is something that pisses me off with sky pay per view shows. Adverts all the time, between rounds, before the ball, millions in between bouts. Last night we got to see the interactions with the corners each round and got plenty of analysis and chat from Groves, Poogatch and Duke. ITV did really well last night.
I am a big Groves fan but felt he was gloating a bit in his summary of Degale which lacked a bit of class

It has all the makings of a classic fight - two completely different styles and if Mikey avoids Spence's power then he schools him. I fear Spence will get to him eventually though and we'll then see what sort of chin Mikey's got.
Terri Harper fought really well tonight really impressed by her work very very classy at times and powerful I do have a question of n her engine even though this was a late stoppage, very well supported and very much one to watch

but big win for brad foster beating Josh Wale who has to retire now surely to win the vacant British super bantamweight title
take nothing away from foster it was a very convincing and large points win

was there supporting my little mate Isaac Lowe in his first fight back after winning his international belt
him letting my eldest do the ring walk with him and carry his belt was just unbelievably kind and respectful
then a night out in sheesh with the boys from morcombe and Ben Davison was an eye opener
Watching Ben from that close hand was an insight and privilege he is very professional and very much in control of the fight plan
certainly knows his boxing and enjoys talking about it
for people like me that’s the best thing about this great sport the access to the fighters their teams and the chance to talk at length and in detail is such an Honour

I just don’t see where he goes there’s a part of me that is desperate to have him emulate the excitement you got with SR and I was a big SR fan
