  • Absolutely disgusting
  • Funniest part of the night so far is the comment about Tasha Jonas fighting Katie Taylor, KT would smash fuck out of her.
  • Absolute animal

  • Really looking forward to Fowler hoping he wins and then onto cheeseman
I spoke with Steve woods this morning who manages Scott fitz and as usual woodsy brutally honest about his boxers told me to stay away from betting on it

if Scott turns up he had the opportunity to beat Fowler but he ain’t sure what one may turn up

he disagrees with me about Ali but did say if he hits pricey with his huge right then it’s game over for DP
Good job I ignored the advice and got my money back I lost on Ali

didbt put it on till the DQ of Ali

really happy for woodsy one of boxing’s good guys
  • Well that was as expected. Why the ref gave Crolla a standing count instead of ending it god only knows. Hopefully Crolla is ok, time to retire now I think.

Completely the correct decision and I thought it was great refereeing
  • The only thing the ref done wrong was counting in the 4th

a face down fighter is over imo and a sign that you stop the fight

joe G sometimes needs to be braver and take the decision to pull his fighters out he breeds them hard and tough but they are too brave
  • Crolla sadly never had a prayer against Lomachenko. He hadn't done anything in his career previously to suggest he did anyway. A lot of Gallagher fighters have that style of high hands and look to land a shit to the side after a few popped jabs and whilst it works against fighters who are there and in range this was never going to be the case. I hope he is ok, he is pretty pragmatic is Crolla and he should have done ok out of boxing to not have to take payday oppo fights.

Lomachenko has people beaten in the first 60 seconds in my opinion, he's so responsive and fast 90% of fighters stop looking to throw punches as they dont want to get countered multiple times and humiliated. Fair play to Crolla going out on his shield having done his best which is more than Lomachenkos last few opponents have done when they quit on their stools completely out of ideas and heart (I'm not blaming them, he is a force of nature)

  • His footwork is just mesmerizing
  • From a pure technical boxing perspective, Lomachenko is the best I've seen.

(Don't worry, D, I still have Ray Leonard above him overall as the best P4P in my lifetime)
  • I wonder if Lomachenko will be able to go up through the weights, he's on the smaller side of 135 so it'll be interesting. A Spence Jr fight down the line would be great! I reckon Garcia made the step up to fight Spence to duck Lomachenko, because a defeat to Spence when going up the weights is less damaging than being schooled by Loma

I doubt it - he's too small, and Garcia proved that against Spence, a good big'un will always beat a good little'un. Spence/Crawford and Loma/Mikey are still the two fights we all want to see - and they will happen, money will make sure of that.

Yeah I agree, I think that's why Usyk will struggle too, the big 3 heavyweights are just so big

I have watched it back now 4 times the damage done from rd 2-3 was insane there were shots that buzz Corolla that even though I know are coming , I don’t see them until it’s too late How do you defend against this , there’s an uppercut in the third that I can’t work out how it even happens and poor Ant is completely snapped back by it The wand as he calls it truly is a tool of magic Sugar Ray still for me too but Loma is the fighter of this current crop no doubt about that he is the master

Looks like Joshua V Miller might be off. Miller rumored to have failed drugs test.

  • Assume there might be someone else in reserve, in the same way as Takam stepped in before - or was that just because Pulev was injury prone?
  • Hearn is fucked... It is going to be someone really random like Kownacki. Ortiz is not going to take it at this short notice and noone else available. Joshua vs Whyte at MSG would not sell

Peter Noone? even Eddie wouldn’t do that.

There’s no point introducing AJ to the American audience with a complete nobody (Miller only just above that) so it’s most likely to be off.

I wonder if Hearn will now regret not offering Whyte a better deal.

Hearn has said AJ still fighting at MSG on the date

Surely Evander Holyfield is due a comeback, or maybe George Foreman?
  • Wonder if Klitchko could be tempted... Only way to save Eddie imo

Not with only six weeks notice!  It needs someone who is always fit or at least in training for their own fight to step in...that rules out Ortiz I think. Dills could but that won't sell. Big problem for AJ and Hearn.

    Call for Del Boy!
  • Joseph Parker and his team are navel gazing at the moment.  Should he align himself with Eddie Hearn, Bob Arum in the States or remain independent.  Any advice for him?
  • I hope Whyte doesn't take it on short notice, with a full camp behind him he can cause all sorts of problems. But i see him getting blown out of there if he takes it now
  • edited April 2019
One of the reasons Whyte turned down the fight for April 13th was it would only have given him an 8 week camp and he wanted 10.
cant see him taking it now on 6 weeks notice.

besides that fight does so much better in the UK obviously, and cash is king
