  • Looking increasing likely that Dubois vs Joyce is going to happen! Very brave from both men at this stage of their careers! I'm giving the slight edge to Joyce

Every fight seems to be PPV at the moment. Doesn’t bode well that the WBSS has landed on Sky now too.
This is worthy headline act of a PPV it is now down to build a card that supports it with enough poke to get the buys

i would certainly pay for it tbh i may well go to it if the ringside tickets stay below £350

omg 😮 please bring this fight to the UK

Get your ESTA ready, D - Vegas or MSG if it ever happens. I think it will one day (and I will be there for sure) but not any time soon as I can't see Haymon and Arum agreeing what time of day it is let alone this fight.
Mate I am desperate to go to it I know my good lady would love this fight as much as me but ringside will be atleast £1500 a ticket and I hate going boxing now and not sitting there so it’s do I just go and sit in the $300-500 seats and enjoy it

It'll be a quality fight, and better than Joshua Vs whichever jobber they drag up by a mile, but I just don't know why it would be a PPV fight
My thoughts exactly. Bound to be a great fight, but that alone doesn’t warrant the extra fee in my opinion. PPV should be for title fights only.

  • What do you get for your £1,500 ringside seat? Drinks service perhaps, anything special. I was ringside for a David Tua fight in New York (notMSG), no drinks and not £1,500 either). In NZ to be ringside in major tournaments you sit at a table with others and have dinner! Which seems a bit ridiculous to me.
  • Matchroom shows normally top price ticket is inner ringside (first 3 or 4 rows) plus drinks until 8pm I believe. May have changed recently though.

In some cases you do get food and drink WBSS kale and nisse want to to remember that those in these seats deserve a bit more respect (ain’t that right Bob) although myself and @bobmunro sorted that situation out in the end

but in the main it’s just being that close to the action, you hear and virtually feel the punches as they go in , Jorge Linares Vs Corolla the way in which Jorge whipped in his punches to the body of you were not that close you missed a dimension of this fight as the sound was mesmerizing, you also get to be in an area with your hero’s and too a man/ woman they are willing and free to talk all things boxing. For any boxing fan it’s a must do and is worthy of every penny that you can afford , I pick my fights my next one is josh Vs Barry but if I can’t get to ringside for my tickets then I watch it on the TV there’s far too many numptys at boxing who just want to scrap that I wouldn’t take me Mrs or eldest to those seats plus you see a better view of the fightvon the box
  • Golovkin has split from his trainer Abel Sanchez

Rumoured dispute over money after GGG signed with DAZN

Yes we sorted it in the end - after losing my rag at one point!

But yes I agree - ringside gives you the complete experience. For Brook/Golovkin I could feel the power of GGG's shots - Froch/Kessler it was like you were part of the battle, and Groves/Eubank you could feel George's contempt for Junior.

For the right fight it is definitely worth the money - and yes, it gets you away from the idiots.
  • Despite having seen Dubois fight close up and seeing how hard he hits I have this nagging feeling that Joyce has the beating of him right now.

Whatever happens it’ll be a close one and big respect to them both for taking it.

If Dubois takes a punch as good as he throws one then he wins. Joyce has some chin though and I, like you, believe he can win this one.
  • Joyce boxes like Homer Simpson, just walks through shots, its incredible!

Take it from me I have seen DD take shots from the best he can take them , but I have seen him land on someone who I think is the best there is in this division

DD is the next heavyweight king I posted it on here probably 2 yrs ago and I stick to it

    DD will reign king

I take it you are talking about Tyson fury .
  • I've heard a few heavyweights who have sparred with Joyce say his engine and intensity and volume of punches was like nothing they have dealt with before. For me he has such a rotten style to watch but it's obviously effective. Dubois looks more polished in terms of his style and looks a lot more heavy fisted than Joyce

This is a great match and good on both of them for taking it

Very disappointing that he is Millwall (dad was/ is a massive fan apparently) given he is a Greenwich native as would have been good in the celebrity street cred stakes.

Still at least we still have Mika and Gary Bushell.
  • I've been a fan of Joyce since the Olympics... He is like a scary robot that just keeps coming for you, but slowly, like the wrestler the undertaker. Dubois on the other hand is just pure class. Hopefully, the loser will still have somewhere to go
  • Frank seemed very reluctant to actually confirm the fight today.

kept repeating that Joyce, Dubois and Gorman would all be on the card but an announcement on fights would be made next week.

the board have said the fight has been agreed so found it strange Warren seemed to be dodging the question

Maybe he just doesn’t want to say before it’s all signed but that would be very unlike Warren, lol. I’ve seen posters and backdrops printed for fights he hasn’t even made offers for.

Has to keep gorman happy he knows he has the next best 3 in Britain after Fury AJ whyte

Gorman will get a go on Del Boy after Saturday terrible outing (not Del Boys fault)

joyce Vs DD will happen it has to Joe Joyce left his invite on the table too long there’s one chance to break into the real interest and right now he is no concern nor interest of anyone

    durable (tick)
    game (tick)

easy to hit (double tick )
    easy to read (double tick)
    slow in foot (tick)

will get sparked by DD DW AJ

    Taken to school by TF

best contest vs Gorman but zero interest in happening as neither fighter pushes on from the win and will end up Vs a no one if they lose

I like Dubois but he looked terrible against Johnson. Johnson is durable but he just couldn’t knock him out when he really should’ve done with the power he possesses.

Joyce to win this one for me.

Really exciting fight though and congrats to both fighters for not avoiding each other...if it goes ahead.
  • Joyce beats Dubois and beats him quite convincingly too, no question about that in my opinion.

We have to go then mate together bit of ringside for this one just so you can see the slow train get de railed by big DD
  • Early bookies prices
    Joyce 10/11 and Dubois 11/10
  • Said it before and I'll say it again, Warren is missing a trick not calling him Meantime Daniel Dubois being where he's from.

Knocks opponents from East to West.

That's about right - although I would have Joyce slightly shorter. Maybe 5/6 - 6/5
  • Sad news there about Oli Harrison a fine humble and good guy

Ring the bell another one of the top guys passing way too soon

met him several times was a pleasure to be around what he didn’t know tactically probably wasn’t worth knowing

    RIP Oli
