Moses showed his inexperience from about round 3. But I’ve rarely seen a fighter take as much as Hrgovic!

The only plus to Moses losing is it's a loss for Davison as well

Moses beat himself there. Punched himself to a standstill. Can’t remember the last time I saw someone take that much punishment and win.

You have to wonder if Moses can physically come back from that?

Big loss of aura for Itauma here too. 

Even if he comes back from this (and you assume he will) there will always be a question around his gas tank. Other boxers won't go in as intimidated either.

From round 3 or 4 I was saying this is reminding me of Haye v Thomson and then Adam Smith said exactly that. Huge levels of naivety by Moses, Hrgovic was only stopped by Dubois on cuts and is as tough as they come, he showed zero respect to him (fair enough given the volume of smoke blown up his arse) Moses is without a doubt a very classy fighter but and the big but is he hasn't learned anything from hia other fights about himself and how deep down the well he can go. He was breathing with his mouth wide open in the 3rd round, nearly lost his gumshield a round or two later and either didn't listen to his corner or his corner didn't tell him to conserve energy and just box. 

I'm being a bit hard on him, he is only just 21 and at that age I definitely thought I knew best and at best listened sporadically to those I should have listened to amd consequentially learned a lot of things the hard way 

Hrgovic absolutely deserves a fight at Dynamo Zagrebs ground or somewhere else in that beautiful country. Him v Kabayel, Dubois, Ruiz, Wardley there would be amazing

Itauma will come back easily from this. He was naive and felt indestructible as an unbeaten young fighter surrounded by everyone in the sport blowing hot air up his arse. Not enough people around him to keep him grounded. 

He’d beat Hrgovic in a rematch. He’ll learn to pace himself now, he’ll learn you can’t expect to blow out top tier HWs and he’ll use the experience to his advantage. This wasn’t a beat down performance that will sap confidence in his ability to compete at this level. It’s clear where he went wrong and it’s very easy to rectify. His talent is clear, he has a good chin, he just needs to fight like an experienced boxer and not get caught up in the hype that he’s the next big thing. (Ironically) if he can do all that he still can be the next big thing….

We will have to see. Heavyweights know if they push the pace a little against Itauma going forwards, they'll have more in the tank in the later rounds than Itauma.

"How often have you gone 12 intense rounds in training and how confident are you in a fight that goes that distance?" 

Moses Itauma: "If I'm being completely honest, I don't know if I've done a 12-round spar. I might have but I wouldn't recall." 

"Is there any part of you that thinks that I'd like to do 12 rounds just to see what it's like?" 

Itauma: "Absolutely not. There's no need to be in the ring longer than you need to be. Whether I knock Filip Hrgovic out in the 1st or the last, I'm still going to get paid the same."
