I've posted previously that Fizz is a lovely lady who couldn't have been more helpful with our organisation of this season's POTY dinner.
And I believe I did give my opinion that she is/was too good for "us"...that she deserved far better.
Now, presumably due to the ineptitude of the CEO ( and I shudder to think what may have transpired behind the scenes) Fizz can look forward to working for someone who appreciates quality when they see it, unlike a certain Ms Meire.
I wish you ALL the luck in the world for the future, Fizz....not that you'll need it.
Am sorry to learn of this. I met Felicity for the first time after the Birmingham game and it was obvious to me that she's a decent person. The best of luck to her.
I met her at the Training day Experience along with Mel Baroni. Both seemed very nice and good for Charlton. The club seems unable to keep good staff and both jobs are a poisoned chalice.
We met Fliss in the Data Techniques Box at the Middleboro game she popped in 40mins "before" the game to say Hi!
I'd had previously invited her over "after," the Middlesboro match so she could let me have my naughty Pinocchio posters and puppet back, (that Pinocchio's been banned thread a while ago), I'd offered her a glass of Fizzy Pop and agreed not to "ambush her on social media" (a bit paranoid that Fliss)!
Anyhow we chatted for 15 mins or so.
Fliss told me her football background was as a long term "Tractor Girl" from Ipswich 10 years rings a bell and she only been at the valley since September.
I suggested that she might want to get her CV "out there" lively before the closed season as she would not have a job next year if this lot stayed around.
We discussed 8,000 crowds, no season ticket sales, Walsall on a wet Wednesday and no TV/league money as a likely futures!
Shite place to be Commercial Manager!
Naturally I gave her my card "we do like a good bean counter at my company"!
In fairness Fliss DID understand what CARD is and the association with the history of the return to the valley, them valley party folks being quite unique in a weird "history making" sort of way!
I believe her words were "Yes we know you lot are rather political here"!
To be frank, I felt quite sorry for her, as I figured that Kalamity Kate had likely sent her over to the East Stand, apparently Uncle Ravi " had a day off" Fliss is, sorry was, Ravi's boss.
The object being to check out that the tossers in Box 5 would not do anything to embarrass that nice Mr Powell, Mr Minto and Mr Holloway in the Sky Box next door!
The lovely Fliss had no doubt reported to "The Management" that them tossers in box 5 were all dressed in funeral clothes and they will be no bother!
She might have felt a tad pissed when 10 Pinocchios appeared at the kick off!
In truth she came across as a polite young lady with a footballing background, she did not go overly defensive about the regime and the feeling I got is she thought that they are wankers too, but they are the wankers that pay her salary!
Anyhow Fliss good luck, I bet you are really quite glad to get out,
I really hope have you took them wankers for a few quid cos that on face value is
CONSTRUCTIVE DISMISSAL
you have my "card" my HR lady would love to assist?

This is a job at Charlton? They must have got this wrong?
Noted the comments above re my tweet. All I can tell you is that there seem to have been conflicting versions inside the club yesterday, never mind outside.
What is clear is that the club have downgraded the role from "head of commercial" to "commercial manager", which will be to cut the salary.
I don't know Felicity but I apologise to her if I compounded the confusion. It's pretty telling neither she nor Mel Baroni have lasted eight months in the Meire/Keohane-led shambles.
I'm sure that what emerges into the public domain is just the tip of the iceberg.
Pretty sure if she's been there less than a year there's no grounds fro constructive dismissal. The telling thing is that they cant keep employees, fans and probably once their contracts are up, players because everyone connected with the club cant help but see the disgrace it has become. How far back have we fallen in the last 2 years? It would almost be harder to fuck it up this badly deliberately. I cannot describe (on here) exactly how much I despise RD and KM.

I do still wonder if it is all a deliberate way of running down the club and the fanbase to achieve a bigger financial goal (probably to do with the sale or redevelopment of The Valley). Surely nobody could be this incompetent.
Or could it be to make the wage bill smaller and therefore making the club appear more viable to prospective buyers........as you can tell I haven't got a clue about these things, maybe I should apply for a job at the club?
Even though I tried more than once I couldn't get half way through those hugely repetitive jargon-ridden job details before my eyes glazed over and my brain seized up. Surely the role to be filled and the qualities sought in the candidates could more clearly and engagingly be conveyed in few concise sentences appropriate to the club's situation?
When I see this kind of stuff I don't know whether the employer simply lacks the wit to break out of a standard cut-and-paste approach urged upon them by a lazy recruitment agent, or whether agency and employer are engaged in some sort of conspiracy (conscious or otherwise) to sound more 'dynamic' and generally big-up whatever job is being advertised, however exalted or humble.
"Credible experience working within sports industry in a similar role" - How come this has suddenly become a required criteria? It wasn't deemed necessary when recruiting the CEO, even Fraye's "credible experience" could be questioned...

That's what they would like. What they get given the salary on offer and the working conditions are obviously poles apart. An ability to speak Flemish trumps all of the above.
Comments
She was on the Upbeats walk today - fair play to her - but she is incredibly upset about departing.
Really lovely lady, just like Mel was up for the fight. One communication has caused a lot of shit!
Was it the Roland Rant or the recruitment agency calling her?
She's really upset but said the story that's "out there" isn't true

The cream will always rise to the top.
