  • Protest with your backs to the wall comrades

    ; )

Am saddened to see such a comment, but not much surprised. I was pleased to represent the CAS Trust at the first social gathering of The Proud Valiants - Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Addicks - at The Valley, recently. The Football Supporters' Federation had assisted in getting the gathering arranged, Fizz Waller was a most charming club rep and Matt Pennycook MP was a guest. The FSF chap - an Asian, ex-West Ham Utd professional - spoke about his experience of 'casual' racism in the pro dressing rooms and said that the next challenge was to break homophobia at football, be it the deliberately hurtful comment, or 'casual banter'.

One is mindful of the boorish chants that would have it that all Liverpudlians are thieves and on the dole. Doubtless, some are on the dole, and doubtless some Brighton fans are gay - and some of them are men. The latter is true, I should think, for every club in the land, CAFC included - as evidenced by a fantastic turn-out at The Valley.
I don't wish to slate the OP on this, but do wish to register that 'casual banter', whilst not meant to offend, can offend...so it's probably best to say, write, or chant now't. Enjoy the game.
Just when you think the regime couldn't get any lower, they allow The Valley to be used by a disgusting group like Proud Valliants.
Proud Valliants took great delight in participating in London Pride, that quite openly discriminated and made libellous allegations against UKIP and its members.

Proud valliants and its supporters need to look at there own actions before they get all uppity about lame message board jokes.

I call on Anna kissed to apologise for the actions of proud valliants.
How about you and Anna and Big Rob take your discussion about this away from a thread about today's protest? Not really the time nor place for this is it.
I don't think big rob is really part of this discussion.

As long as rent a mob don't come back like the Boro game ..... They were causing issues with Charlton fans and forcing families with kids to move seats through there behaviour , fans won't tolerate that and should be allowed to enjoy the game without being hounded out there seats by mindless idiots ....
Hope Card sends that message out mainly behind the goal .....

I was in North Lower at Boro game with my 10 year old son and his mate and as always you speak absolute nonsense, no-one was hounded out and there was no rent a mob....ridiculous thing to say.
So who were the West Ham , Millwall and Chelsea fans then , did they get lost on the way to there own games
They must have for very lost, considering they all played on the Saturday and Boro was a Sunday.
I also like the fact that West Ham & Millwall fans (and Chelsea and West Ham) all came together, spent £30 each on tickets to The Valley... just to abuse random families.

And there were no witnesses, other than Colin.
How did he know they were West Ham, Millwall & Chelsea fans, did they announce it ? were they wearing colours ? or was it a figment of the imagination ?
  • Didn't you see them throwing celery, making the stupid X factor style hammers sign and foaming at the mouth??!!

    Are you mentally unwell?

You know, when people have an unrelenting, pathological fear of homosexuality - as evidenced by this and your comments on other threads - well, there is normally a reason for that.

Google Senator Larry Craig or even Ted Haggard.

Self loathing is the most common term.
