Having just read AFKA’s moderation request for moderation in one’s use of the potty mouth expletives we all know and love, I feel it only right that I adhere to those principles in this thread, which looks likely to run till the end of time. So from now on, the count will sign off on ‘Oh for crying out loud’. This enables us to adhere to the site ethos, whilst those that prefer the original version sign off can simply terminate this new sentence a bit early, and still get the same effect as the original.
One of the stranger things about the not swearing thing on here, is that this morning, when someone was jumping the queue on the Maidstone one way system I started to mutter “ Look at that c—“ when I checked myself. It seems that the CL policy of restraint has spread wider than imagined. But it didn’t last past the lights tbf ;-)
I was brought up in a swearing South London family, but to be honest it has gone too far now. Thanks to our glorious socialist republic of CL I have seen the light.
