According to this table, Albania with 3 points and -2 GD have a 56% chance of making it into the next round.
Before the tournament started, the winner of Group B had a 47% chance of playing Group A's third placed team ie 7 of 15 possible combinations (another 7 of the 15 combinations led to England facing Group D third place and 1 of 15 combinations or 6% facing Group C third place). Given that Albania only have 56% chance of qualifying, it means that the winners of Group B have a 26% of facing Albania in the next round.
That leaves a 63% chance of facing third placed team from Group D, and 9-10% of facing third place from Group C.
So if we win the group and N Ireland avoid a hammering against Germany, then we likely to play them in the last 16?
There are 15 possible combinations, only one of those fifteen would mean we play N Ireland.
Youve not answered the question Canters.
Huh? :-)
As it stands, if England finish first in Group B and Northern Ireland finish third in Group C then our chances of facing each other in the next round is less than 10%.

The Ozil that plays for Germany is so much better than the Arsenal one.
Rather like the Danish Rommedahl v the Charlton one.
Rommedahl wasn't great for Denmark either. Played 1 great game, follow up by 4-5 rubbish ones. Just like at Charlton. For some reason, Morten Olsen kept picking him.
I think they should expand the tournament to include 36 countries next time.
Scotland still wouldn't qualify.
Looking at the players who could potentially play for them, i wouldn't mind betting that Kosovo qualify for a major tournament before Scotland next do.
Like who?
Surely anyone that's represented a national team in a competitive game can't now switch allegiance and play for Kosovo?
As someone else said they're a new nation, so anyone eligible can now choose to play for them instead.
Players who can play for Kosovo include Shaqiri, Januzaj, Arsenal's new signing Xhaka, his brother, the Albania captain Lorik Cana, Behrami at Napoli, plus a couple of other decent Swiss players whose names escape me. They could be a decent side if they all switch.
So as has been said, if we win our group we play one of the 3rd placed sides. How do they determine who?
Tried looking on a couple of sites but can't see how they decide it.
We need to win the group though, playing Saturday afternoon is much better for us watching than a monday night.
It depends on which four groups have the best third placed teams. There are fifteen combinations eg ABCD and ACDF.
7 out of the 15 combinations mean our group winners play Albania. 7 out of the 15 combinations mean our group winners play Group D third (one of Czech Rep, Turkey or improbably Croatia) 1 out of the 15 combinations mean our group winners play Group C third (one of Poland, N Ireland or improbably Germany).
All of that means that we probably won't know who our opponents for the next round are until all the group games are finished, whether we finish first, second or third.
