Final .. Portugal were the more composed and organised side especially after Ronaldo finally limped off .. a situation whereby when the star leaves the stage, the other actors come to the fore .. France were over anxious in front of their own fans, strange for such an experienced team. So another upset and proof that it's not how you start, it's how you finish .. Portugal were awful in the group stage, excellent in the knock out .. and what a tremendous goal to win it with ((:>)
I absolutely cannot stand Pepe but his performances in the knock outs stages have shown that when he is switched on and not acting a complete nobber, then he can be an absolute monster at the back. Does the basics extremely well and has the desire to not let anything go, same as Fonte.
Best team on the night won it imo, France seemed flat and not really upto scratch to be a very stubborn Portugal side who looked dangerous in their build up.
