    Oh dear, 0-1 to the Russians. The referee gives a dubious free kick on the edge of the penalty area to the left. Charlton wall protects left near post. One russian player leaves a free kick to another, who puts a low shot direct at the goal keeper, which slips through his legs and into the goal. Embarrassing goalkeeping, Mitov looks suitably horrified. Good job we are not selling / off loading our 2 best goalkeepers and Mitov is only third choice........

    Look on the bright side, at least Slade knows he has to bring in another experienced goalkeeper, better now than after the transfer season ends

    God that's 90 mins I'll never get back.
    It's only pre season and it will serve as a good run out to the squad.
    But what a thin squad is it. Nothing up front in reserve, weak midfield, Harriott the usual headless chicken stuff and our new number one let's the winner through he legs (although did make a great save onto the crossbar earlier).

    Overwhelming feeling from this showing and the news about pope and Hendo is that KM and RD are going to do exactly the same routine again.
    And when it goes tits up they can say 'Well we gave you what you wanted and it didn't work.'

    Nothing really has changed - just an English Coach (of which we started with before RD at the helm of our club) - of no higher standard than Chris Powell. We are selling our assets and people seem happier than previously? Gobsmacked. Good luck to us with.

    Good luck to Russ, only thing that will keep him at the job is the fact we have good youth and he has a good wage and lifestyle. Other than that he's in for a rough ride.
